Pricey, but worth it...the best way to explore the backwaters and learn about Kerala!

Our tour with Kerala Kayaking was one of the highlights of our time in Kerala. It’s not cheap, especially by Indian standards, but given the quality of the experience, it doesn’t feel like you’re getting fleeced. The six-hour afternoon kayak tour is very well-designed. You do a fair amount of kayaking, but in four short sessions that are interspersed with... More

We did the 7 hour tour today and overall we're glad we did. The kayaks are a great way to see the backwaters, particularly when you get go down some of the narrower local canals. This is certainly a perspective you don't get on the large boats that you see parading up and down the water. As part of the... More

We had really good experince, we took 4 hr kayak tour, and they picked us from hotel on time. The view is really nice, esp the small canals, much better than sitting with a coffee in a houseboat. Breakfast could've been little better but in total all good. He know a lot about the place and will tell u in... More

As a single traveler I found it too boring for a day herumzuschippern on one of those boats and would rather have done this kayak tour. OK then! Binu has been able to make the tour really varied. The larger, boring waters I was pulled with a motor boat, the small channels I then opened up with Binu paddling example.... More

We tried houseboat, daytour with a smaller boat and kayaking when we visited Backwaters. Kayaking really was the best experience, and we highly recommend it. We had two kids - 4 and 6 years - with us, and they also had a great day. Kayaking is the way to really experience the narrow canals and the everyday life in Backwaters.

We highly recommend this day. Samson was our guide as we paddled our way hassle-free through the intricate canals of the backwaters of Alleppey. We were able to observe the amazing scenery and have some sort of insight into the lifestyle of the locals here, truly awe-inspiring. Paddy fields, banana groves, kingfishers and ducks! We stopped by a hut for... More

I read the reviews about Kerala Kayaking and the much hyped Mr. Binu (whom i didn't get a chance to meet in person) so I went ahead with the booking. Pros: - Booking done without hassles - Adequate details / follow ups from their side to ensure that we reach the right place - Definitely not overpriced (better compared to... More

My wife and I are amateur kayak-ers, and in December last year, undertook one of our most memorable adventures under the tutelage of masters Binu and Samson (of Kerala Kayaking fame)! Jokes apart, kayaking through the backwaters was indeed the highlight of our backwater experience, even though we loved our homestay, our houseboat stay and also our drive through and... More

The houseboats look beautiful but we were really keen to have a different experience of the backwaters! I couldn't recommend more highly the fantastic day we had with Kerala kayaking! In a kayak you get the opportunity to explore much more narrow waterways and visit more remote villages. I have paddled before but you really don't need to be too... More

Had a fantastic day out on the afternoon kayak tour. You get a priveleged view of the backwaters where the bigger boats cannot go. You are taken out into four very different smaller canals where you can get a feel for the village life and truly appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Samson is a really terrific guide and...
