I've been to this zoo a couple of times and really enjoy it. My grandson loves it , especially being able to feed some of the animals. cups of feed are a little extra but the prices are reasonable. the gorillas are amazing.

First off understand that this is not a big zoo, it is small. However, it is laid out nicely and they have a nice variety of animals. All the workers there were very friendly. My wife and I went there on a cold day and it was almost all to ourselves. One thing they have that is really unique is... More

The best zoo around, but in comparison with larger, national zoos, its a cute small zoo. The large animals are kept in enclosures that are just too small, but as a result, it's easy to walk from exhibit to exhibit and it's easy to spot the animals. The petting area is fun and interactive. The parakeet feeding is fun. Buy... More

This is a lovely, well kept, small zoo, that is fun for adults and kids. When you arrive you can get "giraffe food" (which is good for the goats and sheep as well) and "budgie sticks". The budgies are very food aggressive and make you wonder if all they get for food IS the budgie sticks. When you enter the... More

We visited the zoo today and it was perfect! The weather was great and it wasn't crowded. The size of the zoo is perfect for small children. My son loved the bird aviary and feeding the budgies. The train ride is a must do. It is nice seeing gorillas, chimps, rhinos, and hippos while on the train. The zoo has... More

We make a point every year to visit this zoo on our trip to Destin. So many unique experiences. Feed a Giraffe! Get within 10' of a lion and tiger! Open air bird feeding! Every animal you'd want to see and it really doesn't feel like a zoo........no big walls, no glass to stand behind.....up close and personal. Can't beat... More

Gulf breeze zoo is not a very large zoo. The great advantage however is that one can get really close to the animals. You can buy cups of animal food for $3.00 a cup and feed the animals. There is also a small train that takes you around where you can see animals in a more natural setting. It turned... More
