On arriving, you're immediately surprised by the relatively small parking lot. That tells you right away that it's not a particularly big zoo. But... admission prices are very reasonable, so go on in. You won't be disappointed. Watch out for the hidden extras. You will get fleeced on food for the petting zoo. But... if you look around, you can... More

The wait time for the train is a bit much and it was hard to hear the guide. This is a nice little zoo and it has a good variety of animals.

Fabulous for kids. We weren't going to take the time as we thought that being in a small city it wouldn't be much to talk about. I can happily say we were wrong! This is such a fun, up close to the animals zoo. It's like one big petting zoo! You have to be sure to get the bird sticks... More

Visited this zoo last year with my family. We enjoyed it and the prices were decent. Clean and enjoyable for the whole family. Must see if in the area!

This zoo is on 50 acres but they definitely make the most of it. There is a 30acre preserve towards the back of the park and most of it is only accessible via there train. There is a fee for the train ride but I would recommend it. There is also a boardwalk which will allow you to see some... More

Our family had a great time a the zoo. A lot of animals, many opportunities for hands on experience with them. We loved feeding the budgies, and giraffes. Bring some money for the train ride, it's the only way to see the hippos.

Very compact that made for easy walking from animal to animal. All animals were easy to view. Would definitely go back and recommend.

I loved this zoo! The animals were awake and alert unlike other zoos where they look like they had been drugged. My son loved the chimpanzees swinging on the ropes and on their moms. I liked the little wooden cutouts you could stick your head in and take pictures with too. The train was pretty awesome too! I loved how... More

We really enjoyed this Zoo. Small enough to walk through, a lot of great places to sit, picnic tables. Kids can feed the animals. You can take the tour by train, but walking seems to be the best when you want to photograph and interact with children.

All but 1 of the animals were out on our slightly overcast day. Early morning and cooler days are the best time to see most of the animals active. The giraffes were a riot while seeking food that you can buy at the entrance or along the trails. We spent alot of time taking pictures with them. The trails are... More
