A pleasant walk in the woods

A very pleasant walk through the woods on a well maintained wooden boardwalk. Nice pond and typically a fair number of ducks. Great combo with the arboretum across the street.

I visit the big garden multiple times a week. It's a very well maintained and tranquil area to walk. There is a lot of wildlife including a heron, ducks, owls and geese along with tons of squirrels and chipmunks. A good amount of foliage makes a majority of the area well shaded which helps on very hot days.

My very favorite place to take a "walk in the woods!" So very peaceful; mother nature at her best!! So many beautiful birds, water foul, plants and trees! Love the squirrels and chipmunks, and the frosting on the cake - the pair of Barred Owls!! Don't forget your cameras!!

A smallish park filled with lots of wildlife. The resident owls are a constant marvel. Often a venue for special events.

Great small park the size of one large square block, right in the middle of Greensboro. Also, the formal Bicentennial park is right across the street! Instant immersion in the deep woods and swamp, with groomed paths and boardwalks. Easy to park on the street right next to the park entrance, or in the Bicentennial parking lot. Find it today!

We had a great walk through the bog garden! It was so nice to have such a lovely place while staying so close in town. The paths were so well manicured and peaceful.

I love this place and visit it often. The walk is usually cool as most of it is shaded. My only warning is to watch out for the duck poop.

During a week long stay in Greensboro, we went 3 evenings to the Bog. There are resident owls and on two evenings had the opportunity to see them. We also saw water snakes, turtles, blue herons and many ducks. A really nice place for a lovely walk.

We visited the bog garden June 29th. It is a relatively small city park within a park. The small waterfalls are quite serene and you are sure to see wildlife. We saw two species of duck, turtles, herons, and other birds. Nothing strenuous about the walk just a beautiful natural environment in the city.
