We are so fortunate to have this beautiful military park in our city. An awesome meeting place for many outdoor activities and for historical study and documentary film at the Visitor Center.

I am a travel writer who covers National Parks (npplan.com) and I was at Guilford Courthouse in May 2104. Located in Greensboro, North Carolina, the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park commemorates an American Revolution battle that took place on March 15, 1781. The battle resulted in an American loss to British troops under the command of General Charles Cornwallis. Though... More

The walking trails are through the woods and an enjoyable hike. If you are lucky you can spot wildlife, like baby deer. The visitor center has great exhibits, and if you ask, they will pull out cannonballs for your kids to hold and talk about the different sized cannons and cannon balls. The free tram tour is excellent. The information... More

This military park is very scenic. There are multiple trails that you can walk, bike, or even walk with your dog. We saw several people take their dogs on a walk. The tram tour provided by the historical museum is excellent. They take you on a tour around the entire park and they talk about the major battles and historical... More

This battle, which lasted about two and a half hours, with more than 6000 troops engaged, was the third significant battle in less than six months, which sealed the fate of the British army under Lord Cornwallis. While technically a victory for the British because they retained command of the field, it was a pyric victory because Cornwallis lost more... More

Very good visitors center with short films to provide basic background on events leading up to and through the battle. The park was conducive to driving with many stops pertaining to the battle. A lot of people use the park for walking / running.

233 years ago my GGGG Grandfather served in the Colonial Army and fought in this terrible costly battle. Like his general he was wounded and cared for that day by Quakers a couple miles away. He survived and lived to raise a large family in KY. The presentation of information and artifacts at this park is remarkable. It's informative interesting... More

This National Military Park was a big surprise for us. We did not know that this area had been involved in a Revolutionary War battle. The visitors center had a nice museum and a good introductory movie. The battle site includes lots of signs and trails and monuments to the dead.

This is my go-to park to walk/run. Nice loop, beautiful surroundings. Also enjoyable to visit when they have reenactment weekends.

Visited here with friends we were visiting. It displays a great piece of history in the birth of our Nation. We saw a great, well displayed, collection of Revolutionary War artifacts and a very well done film about this very significant battle that led to our independence from Great Britain. We enjoyed this visit very much.
