With all the history I knew, I had missed the details of the importance of Guilford Courthouse during the Revolutionary War. As will all National Park Units, this was was excellent. The interpretive video clearly and concisely explained the events and their locations. The two mile historic path was excellent, and perfect for biking--wish we had ours. Most fascinating are... My wife toddler and I stopped by the battle reenactment that this park is famous for. There were over 100 participants dressed in period attire with muskets, some on horse back. An announcer gave play by play of what was happening. It wasn't a riveting battle scene like in a movie, but it was interesting. No hand to hand fast... More

I love this place for biking. The atmosphere is great and biking among the history is great. Before I got my electric bike, some of those hills were a killer, but still manageable. Only three things I don't like. 1) Lots of traffic sometimes to get in an out of the area. 2) It really needs to be twice the... More

A great park to stroll and soak up some history. Start the tour with a video inside the visitors center. Then enjoy this beautiful park.

There is a drive around the battlefield that allows visitors to step out of their cars and read about what happened at each station. See the video first.

Unless you're local, or a national park / Revolutionary War nerd; you've probably never heard of this park. It's well worth looking into. Morning Greensboro traffic wasn't bad, for which I was thankful given the several turns to be negotiated. However, be ready if you go in the morning from the north or west, you will have to contend with... More

A nice walk, and good signage without detracting from the nature of this area. Describes the purpose of the park to remember those who died in wars and the importance of Guilford County. Need better descriptions of the Courthouse... or maybe I missed it. I loved the winding paths and its easy to choose different routes and not get lost.... More

This is one of the best NPS battleground sites for the American Revolution. There is a first rate visitor center and the park itself is great. It's a must for history buffs and a good place to take kids to learn about the history of our country. The walking tour is short enough to be enjoyed in an afternoon and... More

This National Park contains an outstanding Visitor Center with excellent resources (staff, film, books, museum displays) to explain the course and historical significance of the battle. Although the British army held the ground at the close of the battle, the American army's fierce fighting inflicted severe casualties upon the British resulting in the loss of 25% of the British army's...
