I live here and at least once a year I drive the Roarng Fork Nature Trail Drive. It is a relaxing beautiful drive. I especially like the waterfall. It is a great way to capture wonderful seasonal pictures of nature in the Smokies. I recommend this to anyone who loves nature and cannot hike it.

If you are in the GSMNP, doing the Roaring Fork drive is a must. So many stop offs to get our of the car and admire, but if you have had enough hiking or just want a nice scenic drive while visiting, this and the Cades Cove loop is a must.

Husband and I drove the trail and loved it. We didn't get out and actually hike through the trails but I wish we would have. We did this on our last day there and it was beautiful. There are several pull off areas where you can see phenomenal views. Lots of pretty little streams, old cabins, etc. There are trails... More

It's a nice quiet drive that gets you out of the craziness of the main drag. Relaxing and a few sights to see. Great time in the smoky mountains!

Roaring Forks is a short driving trail in the mountains behind Gatlinburg. There are serveral walking trails with limited parking at various locations along the drive. Rest stops with limited bathroom facilities are also available on the driving trail. There is a very good possibility that you will see at least one bear on this trail. Of the ten or... More

Nice nature trail with historic sites along the way. Beautiful views and wildlife. We saw 2 bears while driving around the trail. Discovered several hiking trails that we plan to come back and explore.

Me and my cousins/family drove through Roaring Fork in search of a bear and leisure. Very cool scenes and beautiful forest lines. Would recommend for a short visit.

Do not pass this up. Stop everywhere you can this drive. We saw a mama & 2 cubs! Was within 20 feet of them. Plenty of walking trails & very good roads.

One way loop road Just outside Gatlinburg. Take your time and photos as you travel to some of the historic homesteads of the area. Wear walking shoes with ankle support, plenty of rocks and tree roots to catch the unprepared. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and you will see some. Our observing the slower speeds allowed a blackbear and... More

This was a wonderful drive for us because we saw a bear, if we had not seen this we would not have been impressed, it's not as nice as Cades Cove and there are a lot of tall trees so it feels very closed in, also people had left there parked cars all over near the trails and we had... More
