We go to Gatlinburg at least once a year and one of my favorite things to do is ride the Sky Lift. It has great views and the best time to go is during the Fall. Seeing all of the color changes of the tree's is amazing. more

Three of us took the lift in March 2008, one in a chair in front of the other two, and we had lots of fun taking photos of each other. The offical photos are too expensive. The attendants will slow the lift down to allow for more time for older or nervous passengers to get on and off the chairs.... more

If you are looking for an interesting way to spend an hour or so in Gatlinburg, the sky lift is it. It takes you over a road, a creek, up the mountain with great views. They take a touristy picture while you are on the way up if you are interested, but no hard sell, it is up to you.... more

I loved it at the top, a great view. We bought 2 wallet size photos which I thought cost way too much, $11.00. Me being scared to death of heights it wasn't that bad. more

My mother and I just got back from Gatlinburg. We rode the Sky Lift and we were very disappointed. It is not worth the money nor the time. You have to get off at the top so you can view your lovely picture. The scenic chair lift at Ober Gatlinburg is way better!!! more
