I have to start with the tram ride. Yes, the ride is pricey. I don't know if it is because we went on a weekday during off season or not, but we only paid once and were allowed to ride it unlimited times that day, and the next. We actually rather enjoyed the ride, the view was beautiful. I could... more

The view at the top of the mountain is breathtaking but that pathetic band (I use the word loosely) playing was atrocious. more

The tram ride at $10.00 per adult is expensive but it is a great experience so my husband and I thought, why not? We waited about 15 minutes to catch the tram and we were packed on the tram like cattle. Many people who were the last few to get on were hesitant, saying there was no enough room for... more

I like trams. We recently visited the Sandia Peak Tram in Albuquerque, NM and it was wonderful. The Ober Gatlinburg tram could not be more opposite. First off, it's big just like they say. The problem is that it's so big that only the fortunate few that happen to be crammed against a window (they packed it very full) can... more

The tram to get to Ober Gatlinburg isn't all it's cracked up to be unless you have a spot by the window. If you can see outside then it's a really neat scenic ride. The chair lift is where it's at, mostly because of the view from the top and the bluegrass band that plays. The chair lift is why... more

We rode the tram to Ober on Saturday the 10th of October. It was drizzling outside and a bit chilly with a little fog, but the tram offered some nice views of the mountains on the way up and down. Once to the top they offer, ice skating, tons of shops and places to eat inside, outside they have a... more

We loved going to Ober Gatlinburg. The view during the trip up the mountain was breathtaking and we ended up riding the tram several times. The kids (of all ages) loved the ski lift to the very top, and the slide back down. Brought home some awesome photos and memories and would love to go back. more

The chairlift was actually awesome! We got some really good pictures...well I did. I'm the best actually. Other then that the rest of the stuff is for little kids..I'd say younger then 12 may enjoy the rest of the things they have to offer. But the chairlift is a MUST! more

We decided to forgo the tram ride and drive up to Ober Gatlinberg, the drive was pretty but once you reach the attraction they charge you $6 to park. The "mall" area is dated and nothing much to see. My kids wanted to ice skate, it is $9 a person to skate and if you are wearing sandals they make... more

We saved money by not taking the tram to Ober and driving up there instead. The drive was not easy, but not unlike the other hills and mountains we had been traversing all week. The rides were a bit dated and the only thing we paid for for the ski lift ride. The view up there was great, but the... more
