Ober has failed to invest or even maintain the facilities. The alpine slide isn't competitive. The only non skiing attraction is ice skating.

tourist trap. scam locals. just a straight money pit. management is terrible. the website is even terrible. this place is a joke. its worth the extra miles to cataloochee, bigger mountain, better snow, and actually worth the cost, unlike ober.

This review hits several attractions and the town of Gatlinburg. Ripped off from the start with $5.00 parking fee at the Ski Resort and Amusement Park. The building was very run down and outdated. We did really enjoy the aerial tram, however. It was a fun ride and we enjoyed the scenery. Very military friendly, and we got a deep... More

don't waste your money on a summer trip... tourist trap... buildings were in disrepair... staff was rude at ticket window. rides were out of date. the ice skating rink looked nice but that was more $... way over priced...

This park was slightly outdated. The Alpine Slide was great!!! I do have to say, however, that this is no place for anyone with a fear of heights!! My husband is terrified of heights so he didn't ride a single thing. :( Our teenagers liked it, short lines for the water slides, etc. Our youngest, she's 5, had a blast... More

If you like flashbacks to the 70s, go here! This is the epitome of a 70s investment that hasn't received a single update in the 40 plus years it has been open. I'm sure someone is milking it for all it's worth, but it needs a major facelift. I wouldn't recommend you go there. If you have to ride the... More

Gondola rides are always neat, but they pack you in like sardines. It was July and it was hot and stuffy. People, especially teenagers, push their way through to get to the windows. Once you get to the top, there is a cafe and some shops and also some wildlife. My kids really wanted to see the bears, so we... More

We noticed upgrades since we last visited this place which sure helped the look and feel of the place. The alpine slide is always a favorite ride of ours. Today there was a slow person with a small child that was barely moving on the slide so it wasn't fun for everyone behind them. I wish they would have one... More

We had a good time but it was nothing spectacular. It had nice views and the slide was fun but not something that I would rush back to. Overall good experience.

We visited on July 3rd and was surprised at the number of people there. It was not as crowded as we anticipated and there was very little wait for any of the rides. I would recommend two things 1) drive up to the park. Same cost ro park, and Tram is packed shoulder to shoulder for the ride up and... More
