We primarily went ice skating which was OK, skates are old and uncomfortable for all 4 people but the price for 3 hours of skating is great. Tubing was so packed we couldn't even go...didn't look like much fun anyway because the hill was tiny!! Overall the place would be more fun if it was cheaper. Also, you can drive... More

Went with family on MLK day and it wasnt busy at all. Ice skating is nice but would be better if you can use it throughout the day in between other activities. Tubing was fun for about 2 runs and then got boring. The staff is very lackadaisical and didn't really go out of their way to keep the lines... More

It was our first snow boarding and we had a great time. I was a little frustrated at first due to the staff speaking little English. I had important questions as it was our first time but every question he would respond with SI (yes)! Seriously! The instructors spoke English and were great with informing my teenagers on snowboarding. We... More

OMG... I enjoyed a beautiful weekend on the Ski Slopes... My 1st time Skiing and it was exactly what I expected. From the time you park your car to the actual time of putting on Skies is about 2 hours. I advise you purchase bib and jacket from home, ski rental and clothes can be expensive... the lessons are well... More

Overall, the place is good. We read different reviews and didn't know whether to try it or not. Glad we did. All we did though was tubing, and had to get our tickets days in advance, and we did the scenic skylift. Ice skating looked packed but we did go when kids were out of school for MLK Holiday. I... Reading other reviews you have to remember this is snow fun in the southeast. We visited 1/16-1/18/15. The snow was man-made and we had a blast! Our kids are 7 and 9, 2nd time skiing. We did private lessons with the 2 of them together. It helped to get them reintroduced to snow skiing again. We were riding chairlifts by... More

We had a good time even though the conditions weren't the greatest. Ober Gatlinburg can't control mother nature! There was enough man made snow for the kids to do ski school and then also have a little fun tubing the next day. If you are taking younger first time skiers I'd recommend paying for 2 hours instead of just 1.... More

We started our day with the snow tubing and that was awesome. It was very organized and we had a great time. You do the tubing for an hour and half and the price was 25 per person. The skiing was not great. First off, the learning area was too small for the amount of people going especially for individuals... More

I don't usually write bad reviews but my experience at Ober Gatlinburg was horrible. There were 4 of us visiting the Smokies and we decided to go check out rates and the conditions of the slopes. We got to the top of the mountain, paid to park and went inside to find the information we were looking for and grab... More

Its not Colorado but if you want snow and ski in the Southeast its ok. My 8 year olds loved the Cubbie Snow fun area (make sure you buy yourself a ticket too sinve all kids need to be accompanied by an adult) Chair lift up the mountain was a relaxing and enjoyable ride. They have a hot lounge area... More
