We were going to do the chair lift in Gatlinburg when we stumbled upon Ober - totally worth it. You get the chair lift to the top of the mountain (which is beautiful), the Alpine Coaster (which is really fun) and all the other rides. Some suggestions to make it a better trip - Park in Gatlinburg and take the... More

Besides all the shops, there is the ice skating rink, food vendors, and plenty of rides for all ages. I wish I were able enough to ride the blue cyclone, a winding, twisting water slide. Chair lifts, alpine slide, kiddie rides, a maze! And then there are the views!

The trip up is amazing! The tram operators are a lot of fun and you get to see houses and mountains like you have never seen before! The alpine slide is the best ride and we are anxiously awaiting the opening of the newest ride!

Nice ride up, however, it does seem they tend to overload the trip going up!! We also took the small chairlift ride to the overlook! Spent a little time listening to the bluegrass band at he top! The shopping at the main level is nothing special. They have some nice rides geared to kids, just be prepared that it all... More

This is really a nice facility and you can drive up to it or take the aerial tram from the south end of the Gatlinburg parkway. At the top of the mountain there is an overpriced amusement park or I should say a few amusements such as a concrete toboggan chute where one rides a wheeled sled down the mountain;... More

I went to Ober Gatlinburg last Thursday with my family of 5 as well as my 2 in-laws. Because my mother in law is deathly afraid of heights we opted for the drive up Ski Mountain Rd (we were staying on Zurich anyway so it was literally a 2 minute drive; besides we had done the tram before and could... Absolutely loved this place myself but would tell people to check out what it has to offer and make sure it's for you. Lots of thing to do and prices were reasonable; a lot of reviews said it was expensive but nothing you wouldn't pay anywhere else in the area. If your looking for somewhere to bring kids, you will... I have seen the the cable car that leads to Ober Gatlinburg for years but I had never gone up there. Well last year I went with my cousin and it was a fun experience. We went during the summer so I can't speak for the fall/winter activities, but it is something I would recommend at least trying. The cable... More

I am afraid of heights and Im not afraid to admit that. I got in this ride with my lady. It was tough but the scenery was unreal. The trip up and down was heart pumping.
