As soon as we arrived to Gatlinburg, we dropped our things at the hotel and immediately drove out to Alewine Pottery and purchased another stunning piece, this time for a friend. They shipped it and it arrived to my friend in only a few days. We were still in Gatlinburg when my friend texted me that he and his wife... More

We loved this place! There were so many beautiful pieces to choose from. My husband and I each picked an item, and we also bought our moms gifts from here. We were able to watch a craftsman form a mug while we were there!

What a treasure to have found this place. The ability to watch the items being made really sold me on this place. Truly a treasure. Will visit with them again.

What a treasure to have found this place. There are hundreds of pieces to choose from, small to large. When we purchased our items the owner completed our transaction. I can't wait to purchase more!

Alewine Pottery was the best stop we made on the Arts and Crafts Community loop. Very good quality pottery and an immense selection. No two pieces were the same which made looking through everything very fun. We ended up buying several coffee mugs and salsa dishes. The store itself is very inviting. There was live banjo music, free popcorn, a... More

With live entertainment outside (weather permitting), really tasty popcorn (free), and being able to watch the artisans in action, this is way more than just a store….it's something that many of us make a regular stop on our visits to Gatlinburg…..this and three of our favorite galleries are to us the highlight of the Arts & Crafts Community "loop" on... Alewine has created a beautiful place to visit. It is much more than a pottery store. The workshops where everything is created are all open to see almost every step of the pottery process. The people who work there are all very friendly. The product you buy is truly top notch. I have many pieces that are many years old.... More

We stopped here after we seen the commercial on our last visit to the Smokies. First of all, the owners are just as nice and friendly as they are on TV. The pottery is just beautiful!! No two pieces are alike, and they have plenty it choose from! The only downside is that they are kind of pricey. While we... More

We visited this pottery store after watching the tv channel. It was pretty cool to see them made the pottery straight from the clay. A bit out of the way for a 5 minute job but neat experience. The items in the store were a bit expensive but honestly I have no idea how much this stuff should cost. They... More
