Alewine Pottery is just the best place IMHO to buy pottery. We have been visiting the area for about 7 years & we go to Alewine every year. They have shops in downtown we stop into, but the main building in out just off of Rt 321. Stop in and visit, Robert Alewine is a down to earth & kind... More

We had a wonderful experience visiting Alewine early on a Sunday morning before hardly any other businesses in Gatlinburg had opened. The leaf in the logo featured above is prominent in many products while no two are exactly the same! We talked with a couple of potters and a clerk who'd become an employee after having been an avid collector... More

We have purchased several pieces from Alewine Pottery, each one having its own unique look. The store is such a wonderful experience, whether browsing for that special piece of pottery or relaxing in a rocker by the fire, Mr. Alewine makes everyone feel right at home. Just one more great reason to visit The Smokies!

We stopped at Alewine Pottery along the Artist Loop and enjoyed every minute. Owner, Robert Alewine, was so friendly and we felt no pressure to purchase, although it was so difficult making the right choice. All pieces are absolutely beautiful and are worth the price, although they are not out of the ball park - unique, high quality, something you... More

My review is for the Alewine in "The Village" shoppes. I wanted a really different and sturdy coffee mug, I ended up buying two! Each piece is handmade and have different characteristics. I am so glad that I stopped by this little shop and browsed. Prices seemed ok, the service was great, and I will be back!

Staff was friendly. Owner was even working the counter and was very friendly to us. The prices reflect the quality of the products. Beautiful hand made pieces. This is not your Walmart brand dish ware! You get what you pay for. Neat place in the art district away from the t shirt and squirt gun shops. Will definitely be back!... More

Outstanding product. Been there numerous times over the years and the quality is always there. Workers are very friendly and will always answer any questions you may have. Bought a truckload of pottery and it is a must stop on any trip. Prices very reasonable.

Robert Alewine and his family have definitely made a gem out of his lifelong passion for pottery. Once you visit his store, you will be hooked! He is an artisan and over the years has become a friend to our family. He has a very nice set-up at his property on Glades Rd. in the Arts and Crafts community. Go... More

I've seen lots of pottery in the Southeast, and this is my favorite -- the only pottery I "collect." They have decorative and also very functional work, and it's fun to watch and interact with the potters. I always leave with an idea of the next piece I want to buy. It's hard to leave, though! They have an outdoor... More

Saw an ad on tv the first night we got to town & had to visit the next day. My daughter was completely mesmerized by the potter making all the tiny jars on the wheel. I purchased a beautiful coffee cup. :)
