We own several Paul Murray prints and especially admire his portraits of old mountain folks -- such character in their faces.

This was a highlight of my trip. An incredible realist artist that truly captures the beautiful hearts and souls of the mountain people. His "Lil Darlin" and "Kentucky Coal" are my personal favorites of beautiful little girls born and raised in the most remote parts of the mountains. He's definitely going places with what he can do! If you are... More

Through the artist eyes, you can feel the heart and soul of the people. His drawings and paintings allows you to learn the history of these proud and independent people. The artist wife, Katie, also gives you a history of the artist and explains how passionate he is to realistically captures his subjects. I strongly suggest that you make time... More

Perhaps it was a rainy day that made a stop at Murray Gallery seem the thing to do. We were amazed at the quality of Paul Murray's art on display. His Appalachian Mountain people seemed to live on his canvas. His wife gave us a wonderful tour full of history anecdotes and stories. An early 19th century Appalachian home, complete... More

Paul Murray is an exceptional artist in his gift to capture the beauty of mountain people. Original works are pricy but reprints are affordable.

Hidden in the Arts and Crafts District in Gatliburg, is an older, unique house/gallery of an artist who should have his works displayed in every major gallery in the world. His use of negative-space, and his ability to capture the most haunting of eyes, surpasses many of the exalted Art Masters. His work is a must see.

My friend and I went to the gallery and were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was great, the paintings were breathtaking, and the scenery around the area was incredible. The guide there was so nice and helpful,no matter the question.

The feeling and emotion that he puts onto canvas reaches out to us all. And to his wife Katy, who is an amazing lady that is... More

Stopped in on a whim. Actually because my niece wanted to and we weren't sorry we did. A local artist with national/international acclaim. Located in an authentic 1850's farmhouse. We were even graced with a personal audience by Paul when he came from his studio. Not sure if it was break time or we actually interrupted him but he was... More

8/31/2015 I recently stopped by the Paul Murray Gallery and met his nice wife. She showed my friends and I around and talked with us about his artistic path. His work is truly beautiful and his gallery is a very nice stop for anyone.
