My husband enjoyed the muscadine wine. The blackberry was the best in my opinion. However, at $20 a bottle, we thought we had better for less. But for a local winery it was good.

If you like sweet wine, this is the place for you. It's all made in Gatlinburg and a lot of it is made with local grapes, which makes it sweeter (think muscadine). There are several different types to taste, and if Ray is there he'll let you try whatever you'd like and he'll give you a nice presentation along the... More

Prior to going in here I truly believed I hated wine and thought I was just going to let my fiance try it. Boy was I wrong. I was glad we got to try all of them because they were all delicious. We ended up buying the Redneck Reserve Dessert Wine because its the one we both agreed on but... More

My husband took me wine tasting for our anniversary and this was the most expensive winery we visited. It was crowded and sticky from the communion cups being over filled. Wine was OK but nothing to brag about but part of that could be the moonshine still lingering since it is located next door and bootleggers doesn't offer oyster crackers... More

This is definitely not the wine you buy at the grocery store. This wine has plenty of flavor, and lots of character. Its worth the money, ESPECIALLY the Redneck Reserve. Their strawberry wine is wonderful as well. I wish their store was a little bigger and the staff was more interactive. The experience there is wonderful, I think its definitely... More

We have muscadine wine in Florida so I knew what I was getting into. I want that impressed with the overall wines. The scuppernong was probably the best.

We tried all the wine here and in my opinion they were just average wines with exorbitant prices. Each bottle is $19.99. The tasting is free and the staff friendly, but they just weren't worth twenty dollars.

So I loved the two bottles I got form Bootleggers- Redneck Reserve and Blackberry. I mean really love, like "gone in one sitting, sad cause I can't get more shipped to me" love. Bootleggers has six types of wine that you can sample, and it's in a convenient location (right next door to Ole Smokey Moonshine). However, the actual tasting... More

Don't waste your money on anything else, just buy the Blackberry Wine, and buy twice as much as you think you will want. We recently tried the winery, we bought both strawberry and blackberry. While the strawberry was good the blackberry was exceptional. We shared two bottles with friends and both couples went back the next day to buy more... More

This was my 2nd trip to Bootleggers..and although I think it's a little pricey, it is good wine. Being able to taste it before you buy is a plus! I tried several, but my favorite was the Redneck Reserve and the Muscat..the Blackberry was pretty good too. They have some pretty cool Tshirts and Wine glasses. I never walk out... More
