Our family of 5 did the one hour trail ride. We found the horses to be good and seemingly well cared for. We were in a group with about 9 people and two guides, Robert at the front and Andrew third from last. There was a little bit of flatland trails then quite a bit of uphill and then obviously... More

We like that this stable is located inside the Smoky Mountains National Park. We first rode with them on their 2 hour trek in 2010. On that trek, we left at 9 a.m. and we immediately saw a small black bear. On this excursion, we left at about 10 a.m. for an hour and a half ride. The longer rides... More

We went on a one hour ride today with our 7, 9, 11 & 13 year old kiddos who were all first time riders. We arrived shortly after 9:00am and only had to wait a few minutes before our ride began. The ride was AMAZING and every one of us was smiling from ear to ear the whole time! The... More

Was a good value for a hour ride. My 5yr old really enjoyed the ride and the guide always kept a watchful eye on him helping mom to stay calm. Just a good trip that was easy but you still had to work a little to stay upright which always keeps you engaged. Would do it again, but this time... More

Owner/operator Kenneth Kear pays detailed attention to safety of both riders and horses. Age and weigh limits are in effect. Horses are well cared for and gentle. Trails are well kept. Serenity and scenery are magnificent on rides. I took the 1-1/2 hour ride and my guide offered great history of the area, info about local plants and wildlife, and... More

This was my first experience horseback riding. It was very fun and very scenic. The prices for pictures or cd's following the ride were expensive, and the staff was a little overwhelmed with picture orders. Our guide was excellent.

We just did this with our family of 5- 3 adults and 2 children. My 7 year old had never been on a horse before. The horse she was on was super calm, gentle and patient. We all had a great time. The staff was very friendly and courteous. It was so peaceful and serene there, right outside the madness... More

My family and I have been on many horseback riding trails throughout the country and by far, Sugarland has the nicest trails we have ever riden on. The scenery is fantastic with some great views of the Smoky Mountains along the trail. We also saw more wildlife riding here than on the entire 11 mile trip around Cades Cove. The... More

We really enjoyed this way to see the parks since we had hiked 7 miles in the mountains the day before. We did the hour ride which was plenty of time for non-seasoned riders. They do not take Amex cards so be prepared with a MC/Visa or cash, nor do they take reservations so you might need to wait a... More

Myself and kids ( age 9 and 12) had an awesome time trail riding yesterday! We did the 1 1/2 hour ride and we all had a great time. We even saw a bear!! Our trail guide ( sorry I forgot your name) was phenomenal and was very knowledgeable. I have only ridden a horse one other time and even... More
