The trail was really beautiful - up to a ridge then back down. Took about an hour to do the ride. The sights were well worth it, our guide was pretty hilarious too. Definitely a good activity for the family.

We enjoyed our ride and the mountain trip was beautiful. Only problem was the guide smoked during our ride and since I was the first one in line, I got all the smoke. I would imagine since the ride was only an hour, he could have waited until we were done, but that was the only drawback.

Both pleased with ride, however very steep in places and had to keep to a slow walk. Horses very indoctrinated to paths, no free reins, earlier party saw bear and cub. good value $30:00 an hour ride

Great time. Richard was an excellent trail leader. He engaged the group and was very helpful. My sons (7 & 9) enjoyed the ride. Gorgeous trail. One rider fell on our trip - Richard was alert, attentive and quick to respond. We'd go back again!

We did a 9am ride last Friday. Early Bird gets the worm, we were there first for the one hour ride and thus,we were following the guide. This strategy paid off having children. The other family who joined our group and rode behind us had children struggling with their horses. The guide was great about helping, however there was lag...

Took my daughter for a ride, she has been riding for 4 years and I have only been on a horse one time. The guide Brian was nice and tried to make the trip informative and fun. You ride up into the moutains and have some pretty views of the woods and mountains. It was a pleasant ride even for...

My wife and I wanted to ride horses since neither of us had been together as a couple. We chose Sugarland based on great reviews on TripAdvisor and locals. The stables also own Smoky Mountain Riding Stables which is on the other end of Gatlinburg. Sugarland expressed they are more hilly rides whereas Smoky Mountain were more creek crossings. Both...

Visited on 4/11/12 at 11am. Got in immediately and ahead of more groups arriving. Family of 4 with a 13 yr old son and 10 yr old daughter, our first riding experience. The staff was excellent prepping us for the trip and our horses were as good as we would have expected. Our guide Rusty was very good other than...
