We arrived at 10:45 am and paid. We weren't told it would be 1.5 hours before our ride. Finally we asked and were told to come back in 50 minutes. Reservations might work better. They asked who was the "meanest" and my friends said me jokingly so I was apparently given the slow and lazy horse and the mean part... More

We arrived early and managed to get a ride straight away - as you can not pre book - went on the hour and a half ride. Very scenic but thought the footpath was very muddy - even for the horses. I rode Stumpy and my husband rose Blossom- both very lovely horses. Blossom tripped close to the end of... More

The day before my husband and I were to leave Gatlinburg, we had an appointment for a horse ride at the Sugarland Stables. My husband parked the car, and we made our trip uphill to talk to someone about our reservations. We were greeted immediately, and we were given wristbands. Our appointment was at 6:00 p.m., but we did not... More

My wife and I visited here during our weekend getaway and absolutely loved it! The staff was very friendly and the horses were well trained. I have never had very good luck with horseback riding, but Beau was a great horse that worked well with me. The scenery is awesome! The trail is great as well. Very few flat spots... More

We took the 2 hour trail ride today. We are both experienced riders and have horses so we were expecting a few things to be for beginner riders, but that's ok! The horses have been on the trails over & over and were easy to ride-no spook, buck, or kick-a few ear pins to let the other horse know they... More

We took a buggy ride, loved it, can't wait to go back. Next year we want to take the horse ride thru the mountains.

I stopped in to preview this place since I failed to bring proper riding attire on my vacation, but plan to return. The employees were very helpful and informative. One employee offered to introduce me to Cocoa, obviously their horse ambassador of good will. Cocoa and all the other horses I saw were in excellent condition, as was their tack.... More

Great family memory in the smokies. Had a private family trip through the mountains. Horses were very well trained and controlled. None of our family 9, 13 and mom & dad had ever ridden horses. After the first few minutes of unknown fear, really beautiful way to enjoy the scenery. What a great experience! Staff very friendly. Must do on... More

We went to checkout the stables before deciding to choose this stable. We were late afternoon and our first sight of the horses was not welcoming. They were fighting the flies with a vengence. When we asked about no fly control we were told that the fly spray would kill them. I have owned horses for 60 years and have... More

This is such an amazing thing to do while visiting the smokies. Horseback riding through the national park really gives you a chance to take in a view that you can't see from driving. You get to see streams and falls so beautiful and mountain views that are breathtaking while riding a beautiful well trained horse. Everyone who worked here... More
