I booked a Saturday fly fishing afternoon for my husband, our 2 adult daughters and myself with Smoky Mountain Anglers. We had an absolutely amazing time! Brad and Chad took wonderful care of us, were incredibly knowledgable and actively worked to have us catch some fish! Our entire family had a wonderful afternoon learning the basics of fly fishing and... More

We had a great morning fly fishing with Chuck. He knew just where to go and taught us well. I'm a total rookie and my hubby not much better but we did catch our limit and had a blast.

I fished with my young son and father-in-law today on the Pigeon River. We all came in worn out from all of the excellent fishing and have memories that will last forever. My son "we caught all the fish". He is 5. My father-in-law "probably the best float trip I've ever had". He's 75. Me "Couldn't ask for a better... More

I've been shopping at the Smoky Mountain Angler for years. Their staff has always been helpful with fishing reports, info on hatches, patterns, etc. As much as I love standing in a river inside the GSMNP (it's great mental health time), my fly fishing has never been very productive inside the park. This past weekend my wife booked a guide... More

We had a group of 3 that spend a morning fishing with Tyler as a guide. This place was recommended by a fellow traveler. In Gburg. We made a last minute reservation and I was thrilled to find that they provided everything as we had not brought along any of our "fishing stuff". They fitted us up with waders and... More

My girlfriend and I went fly fishing with chad W. From smoky mountain outfitter. He was very professional and you could see the passion he had for the sport. My girlfriend had never touched a fly rod and managed to catch the biggest wild brown trout of the morning. we spent most of the morning learning how to catch these... More

My kids went for a flyfishing trip. They had great time. Excellent teaching the captain was great and they enjoyed it a lot. They would go again and they recommend this store for outdoor activities.

Our guide chad was no nonse petal to the medal. We got lots of opportunity to fish many great spots. He showed us the techniques we needed to read and fish these type of streams. Our group was at a disadvantage to him because there were four of us. They did advise us to book two guides with this number... More

I was here for a few days passing through and wanted to go catch some wild fish. I went into the shop and Chad Foust who was working there at the time, he greeted me by introducing himself and telling me he will be my shop guide for the day ha ha. It really made me laugh. But I had... More
