I've been on the Jenny Lake Boats many times as a hiker. I agree that the boats are not completely for scenic sightseeing, for the main point of the boats are to ferry hikers to the other dock, where more hiking trails are located. There are longer hikes for more experienced hikers, but for tourists, there are also shorter, easier... more

The Jenny Lake Cruise was listed as scenic. It might be in a different kind of boat with bench seats along the sides facing the front, where you could look out each side. But this boat had U-shaped seating, with high sides you couldn't see over. The only thing you could see were the people seated across from you. As... more
