This highway is in excellent condition and provides well planned turnouts for perfect views of the Tetons. No need to chance a photo along the busy highway as there will be a turnout often just around the corner. We saw over 100 buffalo in a field along this route as well as elk. Hint: everyone drives too fast, so let... More

Nice hiking trail to Phelp's Lake. Easy and not very strenuous and well worth the hike. The scenery is very interesting and most of the trail is surrounded by wildflowers such as lupines. The waterfall is handicap accessible and there are many spots that offer quiet reflection.

This is a scenic road between Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. There are a number of pull-outs where you can stop and take some great photos.

Early Morning slow travel netted us views of moose and elk, a fox and horseback riders in the distance. Gorgeous country.

It's a 27 mile stretch of Federally owned land that connects the northern end of the Grand Tetons to West Thumb Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park. The Grand Tetons have ramped down once you approach the northern end of the Grand Tetons which are mainly granitic in composition but they are still magnificent. To the west you will see... More

No matter what time of year you do this drive, it is a very relaxing and soothing ride. Bring your lunch and stop at Pilgrim creek, it is quiet and remote even though it is only a mile off the route.

Beautiful views the whole drive-- leaving Yellowstone it's hard to imagine more beautiful views. But coming upon the Tetons you realize the rest of the trip will be as good as the first part.

Drove the inner loop and stopped often to enjoy the breath-taking views of the Grand Tetons. Easy, enjoyable drive in late summer. After having driven through Yellowstone, I wasn't too interested in this drive. I thought it would be a let down compared to YNP. I thought it would be boring. I was wrong, it was worth every minute.
