My whole family agrees that Gunflint Mercantile has the best fudge on the North Shore.....we never leave without several flavors. Also--- the nostalgic candy rules!! Haven't seen a Bonomo Turkish Taffy since "The Archies" endorsed them....

I must say I was disappointed with the bean soup mix that I bought on my last trip to Grand Marais at this establishment. Very tasteless after an hour of cooking, added tomatoes and can of pork and beans for flavor, Seems like there is a spicy undertone coming through and I am sure it will become hotter as it... More

5 of Chelsea's elementary teachers stopped by for a visit while on vacation in Northern MN. It happened to be National Fudge Day! None of us had been to her shop before, but we had tasted her fudge! Her fudge is amazing!!! She was so generous with samples, wanting us to know how great her fudge is. She has many... More

Great little candy store in Downtown Grand Marais. We stop here every time we are in town. The fudge is the best along the North Shore. The store also has excellent assortment of nostalgic candy sticks, coffee, and jams and other food stuff. The handmade aprons are cute. and in Summer they have ice cream.

Delicious fudge and other treats in a cute shop. The fudge kabobs are a great way to try the different flavors. Online shopping is easy with fast shipping. I placed an order close to Valentine's day and Chelsea still took the time to personalize the gift box of truffles for me!

I am a true fudge lover. Their fudge is the the best in the world. I would highly recommend their maple nut and salted nut roll, but the top would be the DARK CHOCOLATE SEA SALT CARMEL. Try it you won't be disappointed. They also have the cutest homemade aprons. I will be not only visiting again but ordering online.

I eat a lot of sweets and by far Chelsea makes some of the best fudge and sweets I have tasted. The soup and rice mixes are wonderful too. I will be ordering from her when I need a sweet fix.

Visited on August 25. We have been to this shop in the past, but, out of sheer laziness, I have never reviewed it (also I couldn't figure what category to put it in). This shop has a surprisingly big selection of food items, handmade aprons, and souvenirs. First and foremost is the selection of "exotic" (and "not-so-exotic") fudges. All the... More

What a friendly and excellent shop in Grand Marais. Children can take a photo with the large moose (rolled inside during the winter). Everyone likes the fudge! At Valentine's Day an assortment of homemade truffles were available, and the triple chocolate is made all year. The owner makes aprons for sale, and my teacher daughter-in-law wanted one for school as... More
