We stopped at the Visitor Center for information about hiking and left with great information about not only hiking, but about entertainment options in the area. We were even advised where we could find good blueberry picking!

A favorite place to camp as a kid, we went here with my dad just so he could see it once more. Loved seeing the area again as an adult. The weather was perfect. We did some shopping in town and then had lunch. We drove up the Gunflint and stopped in several places to enjoy the view.

We stayed in Lutsen, Minnesota for 5 days and travelled to Grand Maris for sightseeing and the restaurants nearby. The visitor center was very informative and if you are traveling to the Northshore, this is a great place to stop.

The peace and quiet. The beauty of the natural surroundings. The friendliness of the people in town and along the Gunflint Trail. We've camped in Federal parks along the Gunflint Trail for the past 2 years, at least a week at a time. Last year I was so unhappy at leaving that I started dreaming up a character who would... More

It was remarkable. Trails were well marked and groomed. I am not a sledder by any means but my husband, myself and some friends had an incredible time the two days we spent riding those trails.
