Description: Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...
Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

This trip is a must if you are in Page. The whole experience starts at the rafting base, pick up your lunch, jump on a bus and drive through the Dam tunnel to reach the rafts. We floated with the guide with a didgeridoo, he is excellent. He is very knowledgeable about the river, its flora, fauna and history. He... More

This trip was awesome! Staff was very friendly & helpful. We did the 1/2 day raft trip combined with the half day slot canyon trip. Hopefully, will return one day to do it again. Our trip west was based on this day tour and we weren't disappointed

A difficult thing to review. Would I do it again if I were coming through Page? Yup. Would I alter a trip a couple hundred miles, as we did this one, to paddle below the canyon? Probably not. We chose this over seeing Antelope (due to time constraints) and wish I’d considered either staying longer or seeing the slot canyons.... More

Don't miss this place! This is where you sign up to take a nice slow river rafting tour on the Colorado River by the Dam. And also, they have a little cafe you can eat in before you go on your tour or after. They serve excellent premium lunches and great coffee. Staff is super, super friendly. Especially Jennifer in... We did this half day trip as part of a three day group tour of Canyonlands and it was one of the highlights. After a descent to Glen Canyon dam through a two mile long service tunnel you board your inflatable raft (each can hold at least 8-10) and begin an eight or so mile float down the Colorado, through... This review is about a year overdue, but still relevant!. My husband and I spent almost two weeks in AZ in the fall of 2013 and two of those nights were in the Page area. During this visit, we did a half day float with CRD and found it to be very enjoyable. Our guide was Brent Nageli, and we... More

We took our family of 4 kids ages 5-13 on this trip in November. We had a great guide who had lots of historical information. We saw petroglyphs and played on a small sand dune on the shore stop. Great trip. Only downside was we went in November and it was freezing, even with lots of layers. If you go... More

We took the half day tour with my mom and three kids (11, 9 & 7) and had a fabulous time. Nate was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable, no question went unanswered and he made the trip fun for everyone. We were taken via bus to the raft, bus was clean and new. We ordered the lunch... More

What a great way to see the river. We did the half day trip in November, and yes it was chilly, but not uncomfortable. The sights are amazing and the history is just fascinating. Our guide was friendly and fun. The lunch made by the cafe was tasty and well worth the 10.00. You may also bring your own and... More

This tour is INCREDIBLE! To start you drive through a 2 mile long tunnel that takes you to the bottom of the Glen Canyon dam. We floated down the river approximately 8 miles. Our tour guide was fun, friendly and informative. The views were spectacular. I would highly recommend this tour.
