Owner description: Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

We took our family of 4 kids ages 5-13 on this trip in November. We had a great guide who had lots of historical information. We saw petroglyphs and played on a small sand dune on the shore stop. Great trip. Only downside was we went in November and it was freezing, even with lots of layers. If you go... More

We took the half day tour with my mom and three kids (11, 9 & 7) and had a fabulous time. Nate was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable, no question went unanswered and he made the trip fun for everyone. We were taken via bus to the raft, bus was clean and new. We ordered the lunch... More

What a great way to see the river. We did the half day trip in November, and yes it was chilly, but not uncomfortable. The sights are amazing and the history is just fascinating. Our guide was friendly and fun. The lunch made by the cafe was tasty and well worth the 10.00. You may also bring your own and... More

This tour is INCREDIBLE! To start you drive through a 2 mile long tunnel that takes you to the bottom of the Glen Canyon dam. We floated down the river approximately 8 miles. Our tour guide was fun, friendly and informative. The views were spectacular. I would highly recommend this tour.

I and my wife had blast. Start was by Lake Powell dam, and raft end by Lees Ferry Glen Canyon. We had stop for refreshment and small swim with time to see some native art. The guide was very well informed about nature and history of canyon. The horse shoe bend was remarkable. This experience was breath taking.

This trip is worth every penny (not that its expensive) You start at the shop in page, book your packed lunch, have the pep talk, then pile onto a bus. Then off you go, down the 2 mile tunnel beneath the glen dam. We booked for an afternoon float, it was hot, very hot. But there was plenty of water... More

The trip begins at their store in Page. You are then transported by bus to the Glen Canyon Dam. You travel 2 miles through a tunnel inside the wall of the canyon on the bus ride there. Even this part of the trip is interesting. The only light is by the "windows" that were created for ventilation. As exit the... More

Brent was a great guide for our float trip down the Colorado River. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and friendly. It was awesome when he played the didgeridoo for us. He made our float trip really enjoyable. Highlight was seeing a wild horse drinking from the river near the end.
