Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

This half day boat trip was very pleasant. Attention , no rapids! The company is professional and our boat guide was so funny. He knew everything about the Colorado River and all the region. He told us some interesting stories and manage the boat very well. The river is so beautiful and I was fascinated by Grand Canyon walls. We... More

What a great experience we had with this company. They are very professional and organized. The tour was on-time and the great reviews we read on TA were spot-on. The guide we had was so professional, yet entertaining and highly knowledgeable about the Colorado River and its environs. Answered every question our group had. The boats are large and comfortable,... More

Our family really enjoyed this half day rafting tour. Beautiful scenes, especially getting to the Horseshoe Bend, really amazing. The water is so cold that our tour guide put the drinks underneath the raft for us to use on the way back...

My family thoroughly enjoyed this trip with awesome river guide Brad! It was spectacular, truly unforgettable and I would recommend it to everyone. Even my ancy, hard to hold her attention 5 year old enjoyed every moment. We took a half day float trip on the last weekend they provide them, in November, chilly but no one minded. We saw... More

My husband and I did the half day tour in mid May and were most un-impressed with our experience. All the tripadvisor local experts recommended it as a must do. They must have friends or relatlves in the industry as the tour it is really boring and very expensive for what it offers. We are not cheapskates-we will happily spend... More

We booked a double trip with Colorado River Discovery. We did a rafting trip to Horseshoe Canyon in the morning and a Hummer trip to Secret Canyon in the afternoon. It was an awesome day. We had Aaron as our rafting guide. He is a Navajo and told us about his culture and even sang a blessing over us. We... More

We had an excellent guide in Nate, who was personable and knowledgeable. The weather was ever changing (we went in november), but we were able to outrun the rain. The changing clouds gave us a unique view of the canyon in sun and shadow. The ride was completely smooth, and the boat was quite comfortable. There were only 4 of... More

Gorgeous surroundings, peaceful floating trip through beautiful glen canyon. Guide Gerry was nice and knowledgable yet not too talkative so the serenity of the area could be thoroughly enjoyed. Would highly recommend this trip to anybody who loves being outdoors and appreciates mother nature's unparalleled beauty.

Even though the day we went wasn't very warm (in November) and a bit rainy, I would highly recommend this trip! If you enjoy really getting into nature, then this is for you! But even those who are hesitant, do it anyway! It's very safe and allows you to get "up close and personal" with the river, the rocks, and... More
