Description: Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...
Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

Took the 1/2 day tour from Glen Canyon Dam.Family of four, two kids ages 12 and 10. It was the perfect amount of time on the river. The drive through the 2 mile tunnel down to the river is very interesting. Stop at the beach was fun, petroglyphs were not stellar. Martin, our guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The... Family of five - three school aged children and two adults. About $400 for a 1/2 day adventure and worth every penny. The view from the bottom looking up is priceless. The stop on the sandy shore to get out and view ancient petroglyphs was a lot of fun. We ordered bistro lunches but you can easily bring your own.... More

This was one of our stops during our family tour of the southwest U.S. We signed-up for the 1/2 day smooth water trip down the Colorado River. We were traveling with three kids (13, 11, & 9). We arrived at the Discovery Center at the designated time of 10:30AM. We were briefed by a polite and funny company representative. We... More

First things first; Brent, our guide was great. Nice chill vibe and great overall knowledge of the area. We were concerned it might be too rough to bring a camera, but it's an easy chair ride down the river. Great views and a great time.

I had an awesome trip down the Colorado River. Appreciate our guide Nate who made everyone aboard welcoming and inform us about our surrounding. Hike a short trail too! Weather was great and Colorado Discovery tours did a great job. It's a great family adventure trip.

The flat water half day raft ride down a beautiful stretch of the Colorado was very nice way to spend the day. Even getting to the launch was fun, a unique experience traveling through an access tunnel. You'll learn about the river, the history of the area (the dam, the area around Page, early explorers, recent history of the river),... More

We were a family traveling with teenagers. Page AZ was about a 2.5 hr drive from the South Rim Grand Canyon Resorts. There was a 20 min ride through the Glen Canyon Dam to the starting point. From there the full day tour took around 3 hours to the end point, Lee Ferry. Lunch was included and was very good.... More

We drove 2 1/2 hours from the Grand Canyon south rim to take this trip. It absolutely exceeded expectations. The drive along Desert View gave us a great view of GC. When we arrived in Page, the check-in process was friendly and efficient. Gerry, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and his love for Glen Canyon was obvious.... More

This trip is a must if you are in Page. The whole experience starts at the rafting base, pick up your lunch, jump on a bus and drive through the Dam tunnel to reach the rafts. We floated with the guide with a didgeridoo, he is excellent. He is very knowledgeable about the river, its flora, fauna and history. He... More

This trip was awesome! Staff was very friendly & helpful. We did the 1/2 day raft trip combined with the half day slot canyon trip. Hopefully, will return one day to do it again. Our trip west was based on this day tour and we weren't disappointed
