Description: Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...
Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

Went for the 1/2 day trip in Glen canyon on the Colorado river. The headquarters in town was easy to find. Parking is somewhat limited but we arrived 15 minutes early and had no issues. Check-in was easy enough. The person running the operation, Andrew, took the time to explain to everyone exactly what was going to happen when we... More

This was a ride down the river on a nice day. If you are looking for more than sitting in a raft for a few hours, this is not for you. The guide, although relatively new to the company, did a pretty good job of telling us about the area. The scenery was beautiful and it was interesting to learn... More

My aunt and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The canyon was absolutely breath taking and the petroglyphs were VERY interesting. The water was calm enough for this trip to have been very relaxing and allowed for us to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and clearly had a passion for the Glenn Canyon. 10/10 would recommend!!

Took a morning raft ride on the Colorado River from Glen Canyon Dam, down around Horseshoe Bend. Smooth, comfortable ride. DJ, our guide, was knowledgeable, sharing his love and respect of nature, as well as some humor. It was fun making "rock pictures". Saw blue heron, turkey vultures, looked at petroglyphs; beautiful scenery. Air conditioned bus ride to and from... More

Took the Half day smooth Water trip. So glad we did! The guide was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the ride. The event was well planned with Busses Stick g is back and forth with AC, So the heat didn't stick. The River is so refreshingly cold, that some of us dipped the feet in Just to feel the freshness... This was a very pleasant half-day trip. The guides were knowledgeable, pleasant and competent. The trip down to the launch area through the 2-miles long dam construction tunnel was an added treat. Highly recommend to individuals and families of all ages.

My son & I travelled from Arkansas to see the Grand Canyon & when I saw an opportunity online to "raft the canyon", I jumped on it thinking it was the Grand Canyon. I called to ask a question and was informed that Colorado River Discovery was in Page, AZ, 3 hours from our hotel in Williams. We had originally... More

We did the 1/2 day in the afternoon. We were loaded on a bus with no air conditioning and the guide joked that they were getting us acclimated to the weather on the river. There was no way to open a window and there was no ventilation whatsoever. It was a suffocating 15 minute ride to the launch and when... More

They had the bus ready, food lined up ready to go. We met in Page location. They do ask if you want a lunch. We ordered lunch. We noticed a lot of people ate their lunches before leaving for rafting. The reason, we found out, there is no place to eat. The boats are bumpy, and the place you stop... More

Very nice trip down the Colorado River in Glen Canyon. Things to know if you want to go. The morning "half day trip" starting at 7:30am. You cannot take a purse or any kind of bag unless it is clear. So make sure you travel light. They will supply a clear bag for any goods you'd like to take if... More
