Description: Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...
Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

First time down the Colorado on a serene raft. We were o a 1 pm tour of about 50 people. rather than squeezing us on to three rafts they made smaller groups of 13-14 broke up 50 people on four rafts making it incredibly comfortable seating for every person. Our guide was a delight from beginning to end sharing his... More

My son and I took this 3 hr trip down the Colorado river on Sunday, May 17. It was beautiful out there. Our guide, Brandon, from Minnesota, had great knowledge of the area and made it a really fun experience. My son jumped in the 47 degree river, from the boat, as we pulled up to the beach. I definitely... More

My wife and I can't say enough great things about this company. Professional all the way. They had us in our boats on time and the tour was fabulous. Our guide was Nate. He was knowledgeable, friendly and quite the singer. You can't believe how quite it gets down there. Thats the perfect time for Nate to sing "Homecoming" If... More

My wife and I consider the Colorado River Discovery operation to be truly excellent. The arrangements were handled efficiently, the communication was good, and the services provided were superb. The river trip from Glen Canyon Dam to Horseshoe Bend was a delight -- greatly aided by Jeremy's informative and jocular commentary. Lunch, provided by CRD, was yummy. Our afternoon tour... More

My wife, son, stepson, stepdaughter and I truly enjoyed the river float with our sweet guide from Colorado. She was very informative, kept providing us historical and nature facts, information and tidbits along the whole tour. She did an extremely good job and the staff was helpful afterwards in orienting us to a tour of the Antelope Canyon nearby. Again,... More

My wife & I did the afternoon half-day float trip last week. It was very nice, but I think we were a bit under-whelmed, probably because we have in the past explored some of Lake Powell's side canyons on our own. We felt that CRD packed our raft with too many passengers. It was really tight. We also thought our... More

James was our guide. Only 4 passengers in the oar powered raft so we had space to be comfortable. James was full of knowledge with a light-hearted sense of humor.
