Especially if you have ever done any boating you can truly appreciate the skill of the captain of the Canyon Explorer as the young man navigated the narrow end of Antelope Canyon to execute the turn about. The boat was quite comfortable and the headsets made hearing the Captain and the recorded information easy to hear. We opted to sit... More

Fun boat trip with lots of informative commentary. The west coast of America's 10 year drought though does mean the lake levels are low and so boat access is limited in places.

We took the 5.5 hour trip to Rainbow Bridge and back. It was a long ride, but very scenic, and the hike to Rainbow Bridge was great exercise after being on the boat for 2.5 hours. It was pretty cool in the morning (leaves at 7:30) so we rode downstairs. Unfortunately, the windows are so high it is hard to... More

We took the 2 1/2 hour Canyon Adventure tour, which cost $70 each. We sat on top and got some great photos, but it did get very hot after a while. They give out complimentary water and lemonade, but you have to go downstairs to get it. Headsets with commentary are provided in different languages, and the captain also comments... More

Got at the Lake Powell Resort - they have a few tour options from 90 minutes to all day. The 3 hour tour was plenty. Everyone runs upstairs - the best seats are in the very front (bow) of the boat on the lower level - only a couple knew to go there and the crew helped take pictures of... More

This was a really fun way to see a part of Lake Powell, cruising and having breakfast at the same time. We really enjoyed this tour. I highly recommend it If you have the time. We got to see the mountain formations up close and they are beautiful.

We took this float trip that starts below the Glen Canyon dam. It is not a white water ride. There were about 15 people on the float. Access to the floats is through the tunnel that leads to the bottom of the dam. It is under the control of Homeland Security, no backpacks or fanny packs are allowed. Bulky items... More

The 3-4 hour Canyon Adventure tour from Lake Powell Boat Tours is not an inexpensive choice, $70.00 but it is a wonderful ride around the lake. There is an audio track in several languages to explain various aspects of Lake Powell. The boat captain also adds their personal perspective from time to time. This is not a tour for children,... We took the 6 hr trip to the rainbow arch sitting on the top for the outward and below deck for the return trip, setting off at 7.30am and found Captain Paula friendly helpful and knowledgeable, supplementing the headphone commentary. Help yourself to water, lemonade coffee and apples! Well worth getting to Rainbow Arch - with a ranger waiting there... More

Arrived as were told by 7am for check in and a 7:30 departure. What we were NOT told was the fact there would be no food aboard, only coffee, lemonade & water. Since we were traveling we did not have the means to make sandwiches and had to order them from the small café in the area. Found out when... More
