I chose WRA mostly because of the dates and the cot...because I am self-employed, I did little research before I left--maybe read 5 reviews to solidify my decision to go rafting down the Grand Canyon for a week to celebrate my 50th birthday. I lucked out! WRA exceeded my expectations, and I can't imagine any other outfit beating the experience... More

Could not have hoped for more. Yes, its not cheap, but its worth it. Brad, Kerry, Tylor and Brendas put a life-changing trip together for us. Rafting 6 days, sleeping in the open at the river banks, great food every night and great people. Our kids (10, 12, 14) loved it and we thought it was a life-time trip. Airlifting... More

My family & I just spent 7 days on the river with WRA. Even though we had a few weather issues (T-storms), it was awesome! We took our two teenage boys, one of their friends, and even my 86 year old father. Everyone had a great time. The food was excellent and the rapids were great. The scenery is breathtaking.... More

We went on an eight-day trip down the Colorado with Wilderness--our second trip with this company. Four couples joined us and we pretty much took over one of the two 14-man rafts. This was great, even though we had unexpected weather the first few days. It was cooler and very windy so the blowing sand was difficult. The crew took... More

My wife and 20 year old daughter just returned from a 6 day/night non-motorized raft trip down the second half of the Grand Canyon. I'm probably not eloquent enough to describe how happy I am with WRA -- just be assured that they are Awesome! From the start where we met Allison at 5 am in the Bright Angel Lodge... More

Two years ago we took a 4 1/2 day motorized trip of the lower Canyon. We loved it so much that we could not stop talking about it to everyone. Before the trip ended we had decided at some point we would come back and do the 8 day motorized. We mentioned it to some friends who wanted to join... More

To be honest, when myhusband proposed taking out 12 & 14 y.o. daughters on a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon I said "OK when and how?" We booked with WRA because the dates worked. Having never done this sort of thing before we didn't have anything to compare to. Perhaps there are other companies who offer great trips and... More

How does one describe the indescribable? I read five books in preparation from Powell's account to the Emerald Mile to Native American History. My heart was pounding when I considered our precious family at risk on Crystal or Lava Rapids and how I might feel about their safety as we plunged into their midst. I had special concerns for my... We had an amazing 4.5 day motorized GC rafting trip with WRA, starting at Phantom ranch boat beach. The 10 mile hike down Bright Angel Trail was both scenic, and quite challenging due to the high temps (130F in the sun). Our advise to others is bring LOTS of water, food, and good walking poles as this will make the... More

Our family of 17 took a 6 night motorized trip. All agreed that the guides expertise including running rapids, hikes, activities for ages 11-72, and cooking fabulous meals including two birthday and one 50th anniversary cake exceeded our expectations. Thanks for the memories.
