Just like everyone else says... it's a trip you will never forget. I tell every single person I ever talk to about it that they should do it if they ever have the chance. That said, I'm writing this review simply for the purpose of being able to help any friends if they're thinking of booking a trip. I'd have... More

My husband, myself, our daughter, age 25 and son, age 22 went on the 6.5 day lower canyon oar trip the end of August. I researched different companies, upper river vs lower river, etc. I think we picked the best company to enjoy this adventure. Our guides educated us, fed us, made us laugh until tears rolled down our faces,... More

My husband, 32 yr. old daughter, and 28 yr. old son took the 4 1/2 day motorized Lower Grand Canyon expedition in mid September 2012. That was the best trip we have ever taken. The hike down the canyon was rigorous. Since it was a motorized trip, we were able to enjoy the scenery while the crew navigated the river.... More

My father, my sister, 3 friends of the family and I all went on a 9 days lower Grand Canyon rafting tour. To put it simply, the trip was amazing! The guides were an amazing group who knew everything about the canyon: history, geology, flora, fauna! They would read journal entries from historic canyon figures and poetry about hiking, and... I did the lower Colorado trip with Wilderness River Adventures (WRA) at the end of May (just after Memorial Day) and I’m just now getting around to writing about it. I won’t repeat all the great reviews other than to say the WRA was excellent and the trip was the experience of a life time. To paraphrase what Butch our... More

I was a little nervous as a 60 year old hiking with our backpacks down into the Grand Canyon and then sleeping on the ground and doing more hiking for a week but my son convinced me I would be fine. It turned out to be a wonderful trip. The guides were amazing and knew everything about the geology and... More

We were a small group, 13 + 3 crew members and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. We were all on one boat and spent our days getting to know each other. Nate, Will and Sean I can't thank you enough for giving us a trip of our lifetime. Your knowledge of the Canyon that you shared with... More

We booked this trip in March and while we wanted to go in July, you need to book much earlier for peak season. We were able to go the last week of August which for us, worked out fine. I traveled with my adult daughter and my cousin - three women. I researched the various companies that offer this trip... More

We just returned home from our trip down the Colorado within the Grand Canyon with Wilderness River Adventures. Our guide was Butch Hutton and his wife, Patrice. They were impeccable, educated, strong and trusted guides on this adventure. I recommend to anyone who wants to partake in an adventure that will stay with them for life. Our guide has over... More

My husband, son (12 years old) and I had the trip of a lifetime on our Oar trip with Wilderness River Adventures. Nate, Zack, Jackson, Tim, and Congo were attentive, knowledgeable, and skilled. The natural beauty was created by nature but the fun, informative stories, and team building were created by skilled guides who took great pride in each part... More
