What a spectacular tour. The caverns are over crowded, but we expected that from the reviews we read. If you are a bit patient, you must not miss this. Our guide Vivian was extremely helpful, even setting our camera correctly for the best shots. I highly recommend this tour.

We booked the 8:15 am tour we were a little worried it wouldn't be the perfect lighting and were made aware that the beams of light would not be shinning into the canyon that early. Although we didn't see that aspect of the canyon, the tour was excellent there were far less people in the canyon at that time.. This... More

This was our last stop in a photography trip to Arizona and Utah. I carefully researched outfitters who would provide a true photographic experience to the slot canyons. I was not disappointed. The trip I booked was not for the faint of heart. It started at 7am and I got back to the hotel about 8:30pm. It included some difficult... More

We stopped at Antelope Slot Canyon Tours to make a reservation for the next day. Tours during peak hours were fully booked there but they advised us to try Overland Canyon Tours right across the street. We managed to to book a peak hour tour here. We took off the next day with 3 large cars. Ours was filled with... More

Went on the 12:15 prime tour because all companies run tours at around 10:30 and then usually only after 1pm, so the idea was to avoid the big crowds (it never really gets calm during summer) and go at noon when also the light would still be good for some fantastic photos. And it worked out well - when we... More

We noticed other tour companies with open air seating on their vehicles...overland takes you in a suburban which was much appreciated when you realize how much fine red sand/dust is out there on the dry river bed you have to drive on for some time to get to the opening of the upper canyon. We did the 10:15 tour on... More

I am an experienced traveler having circled the globe twice for business and pleasure and remained in various countries in Europe and the Far East for periods that extended from two weeks to six months. I normally take a guided tour only when there is a major language barrier or site restrictions require that a guide accompany me. The latter... More

The opportunity to go in to Canyon X with a photography guide for 5 hours was incredible. Only 6 people are allowed in there per day, so you're not running into lots of other people with the same idea. Chris, my guide, was informative, very helpful, and friendly. I was thrilled to experience this treat. Brenda at Overland went out... More

A short drive takes you into a narrow sandstone passage cut out naturally by water. Apart from the natural beauty, the tour is mainly about taking photographs (or the guide taking them for you) of the rock formations from odd angles and lighting, to get special effects and shots that look like animals etc. All too artificial for me. They... More

We decided to pay a little extra for the photo tour, and it was worth every penny! With only 6 of us on the tour, it was easy to keep track of everyone in the mobs of people. Our tour guide, Nida, was fantastic. She made us feel like we had VIP access, whisking us past the crowds of people,... More
