My daughter and I visited Upper Antelope Canyon in July, 2009, and we both were in awe of this place. We went around 11 AM, because the lighting would be ideal and we were not disappointed. We spent about an hour and a half in an enchanted, beautiful place, something of which we have never experienced in any of our... more

I took Antelope Canyon Tours and was thoroughly impressed. Make sure that you book the late morning tour and arrive at the canyon around noon. The sunlight in the canyon at that time is spectacular.and I would venture that the experience is unlike any other time of the day. For photography enthusiasts, make sure to bring a monopod as most... more

Went on the photographic tour with chief tsosie's tours with our guide Mylo. After reading up on the many reviews of this canyon I was worried that our trip would not be very exciting, too many tourists, not enough time etc. The canyon was an amazing experience and got some incredible photos of the canyon. If you are a photographer... more

We loved Antelope Canyon! It is just amazing! The natural beauty is incredible! It is such a unique place. There are 2 areas--Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon. Both are easy to get to, just 5-10 minutes from Page, AZ. We were told that Upper Antelope Canyon is busier with more tourists, and can get crowded, so we went to Lower... more

Without a doubt this place is a sight to see if you are in the Page area, I would not recommend missing it. However, you should prepare yourself to be ripped off by their "tours". Its basically the same story as any place in the four corners area: they see you coming and take full advantage. The place is really... more

Reading some of the reviews on here made me worried that the Canyon would resemble a zoo - nothing could be further from the truth. There are regular tours from the centre of Page - all close to Safeway - and all at a decent price. I went on the 12:!5 tour with Overland Tours, and the whole experience was... more

My wife and I went to Page a couple weeks ago and had a wonderful time. Seeing the slot canyons is something I've wanted to do for a long time, so it was a must for our Southwest vacation. Wanting to get the most out of my slot canyon experience, we went to both the Uppers and the Lowers... and... more

I visited Antelope Canyon and elected to take an "extended tour" of the upper canyon, as opposed to the lower canyon which requires no tour guides. My primary reason for this is that the upper canyon offers far better opportunities to take "sunbeam" photos than the lower. There were about 10 of us in our group, all serious photographers. Our... more

we arrived at our hotel on 12/30, and was told by the front desk lady that a guided tour is needed to enter the antelope canyon, otherwise they won't let us in. what a big lie! after reading the posts here, we decided to try it on ourselves. lower canyon is on the north side of hwy 98, while upper... more
