As with any church, it's what you seek and what you need that gages the experience. If you love wonderful gospel music and praise music you are in for a treat. Just be ready to stay for a few hours because this isn't a Baptist or Methodist 50 minute in and out cookie cutter service with at 15 min sermon... More

Bear in mind that you are attending a church service, not a tourist attraction, as such. Because we wanted to hear the famous choir, we attended the 12noon service. The subway station is not far from Smith St, and you need to arrive by about 11.30am to get seats in the main auditorium. The service lasted about 2 hours. The... More

As soon as you hear the organ's first chord, your heart and soul and spirit will sing! Forget Gospel tours, this is the real thing! I've taken foreign visitors here who do not speak English and they marveled at the experience and some even returned on their own. You will not be disappointed! Thankful! Bless us all!

We have visited nearly every time we get into the city. The choir is tremendous, a lot of original arrangements and some great soloists to compliment the choir and the congregation singing. Pastor Cymbala has tremendous heart and sensitive spirit. I have joked that I have hugged more in this church than in some wedding receiving lines- the people are... More

If you are looking for good gospel music go to a real church in Harlem. There is no band just a playback and a choir and singers yelling with very high-pitched sound. A man asking for money on behalf of God is embarrassing. Only religious enthusiasts would enjoy spending so much time on a so bad situation.
