Building is shaped like an open book. Inside is a delight. Start at the top floor and tour yourself downstairs. Across the street is Grand Army plaza. Look all the way up and see the statutes of soldiers. My favorite is the Black soldier just blended in. I walked past it for years before I noticed him. He is so... More

Nice place to sit with a cup of coffee and a piece of cake and review the books you have selected from the shelves before you check them out

Our main library has been kept up to be one of the best in NYC. Sections for children, teens, and adults with more then you can possibly read in a lifetime!

Located at Grand Army Plaza, the Library is an oasis for many literary works. Located on the edge of Prospect Park, it is a short walk to the Botanical Gardens, the PP Zoo and the Brooklyn Museum. if you are here for only a short while, spend a few hours and all these sites are easily manageable and worth visiting.

I love this library- it offers so many programs for all ages and in warmer weather draws the community to its palatial steps with outdoor concerts. Nice cafe. Kids will love it too.

The building is interesting and the staff is friendly and helpful, but I was a bit disappointed. There was only one exhibit and it took about 5 minutes to view it. The children's section looked fun, but we didn't have any children with us.
