It's a museum

Updated museum with free wifi and conference rooms. I did some research there. Staff very helpful all the way around.

The building is interesting and the staff is friendly and helpful, but I was a bit disappointed. There was only one exhibit and it took about 5 minutes to view it. The children's section looked fun, but we didn't have any children with us.

Wonderful place for children and adults. Must warn that I am bias here, as my children practically grew up here. Excellent programs, collections and very helpful and courteous staff. In short, I love it and of course recommend it highly.

This place is such a blessing. I've lived in the neighborhood all my life so come here often, but most recently, there are these professional and personal development courses that can take your life to the next level. I finished a Stocks and Investment class here and it changed my life. Learning doesn't stop after graduation, and this library knows that.

Love the library, just because it's a library. Wouldn't recommend it as a site for tourists, unless you're going to one of the summertime shows on the plaza in front, which are really sweet neighborhood gatherings. The library facade itself is very interesting - do take a moment to take it in. Lots of gorgeous symbolism. Don't bother to go... More

One wouldn't naturally think to visit a library as a destination, but it is worth experiencing for its history. A project to put people back to work after the depression, it is actually shaped like a book.

Located down the block from the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, and across the street from Prospect Park, the main branch is a treasure. Whatever your interest, it is there. And when you are done, stroll over to the above mentioned places. Enjoy !

...and right near Prospect Park. So grab a book and go sit and read in one of Fredrick Law Olmsted's masterpieces.

It's a "brilliant" library ! Am was in from out of town and needed to do some research about my design project . This is a wonderful library with an excellent facilities to the public. The structure of the building is also creative shaped just like an open book. The librarians who assisted me were extremely kind and helpful. Great... More
