A great place to look at lower Manhattan, attached to an interesting neighborhood with good restaurant choices.

Stroll along the promenade, stop to eat or shop along the way in Brooklyn Heights. Nice outdoor walk with views of downtown Manhattan. Weekends are best.

This is the best place to take pictures of the NYC Skyline. Great place to go relax or sit and read a good book in the fresh air. People take their wedding or Sweet Sixteen Pictures here. I absolutely love it!

This promenade offers one of the best views of the Manhattan skyline. It is also a lovely walk, past beautifully manicured gardens on one side and New York Bay on the other. There are benches along the way. The promenade is in the lovely upscale neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights. Walking through the streets is enjoyable, as well.

I took some of my best pictures over the NYC skyline from here. The promenade is full of park benches, so you can sit and enjoy the view. There is also toilets available around the area. I can't do anything else than recommend this to everyone. It's free and you have one of the best views over Manhattan from here.

Walk the bridge and end up here - you won't regret it! This is where you will have seen photos of downtown with the wooden posts in the water in the foreground. Great shots of the Brooklyn Bridge from here too.

From Brooklyn Heights Promenade you can rest your legs sitting on of of the tens of green benches, enjoy the view of Manhattan's high rises, minus the noise.
