This place is nice for a walk but don't expect too much. It is a district with nice small brick houses. There is nothing to do basically. No many restaurants, no many people.

We liked the calm walk and the view of Manhattan, and the river park. Enjoyed looking at the homes along the promenade

I used to live here at brooklyn Bethel, and it was nice to be back. The promenade hasnt changed much. Its still amazing, and still a wonderful view. Its iconic. That night in my hotel room I watched the latest episode of American Odyssey, and one of the scenes they filmed exactly where I had just taken a walk there... More

Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, have pizza at Grimaldi's, then stop at the park for some great photos of lower Manhattan.

Cons: No amenities (no toilet or vendors). Pros: beautiful view of Manhattan and the boats and helicopters. It's right across the bay from the helipad in the battery area of Manhattan.

Been to NYC a couple of times, walked the bridge to Brooklyn but never walked on the Promenade. This is an absolute must for your trip to New York, combine it with a visit of Brooklyn Heights. There is still some works ongoing on the promenade itself but it is just gives you the most beautiful view of Manhattan. Right... More

What a wonderful area to take a stroll. Enjoyed the views of the city and Statue of Liberty, etc. Lovely homes, apartments and garden areas. Interesting to see the piers made into sports fields. Best part is it's FREE. Great for families. Be prepared for a crazy amount of helicopter traffic shuttling Wall Street big shots. Annoying. We walked down... More

A walk along the Promanade before or after dinner is a very relaxing thing to do. You can see lower Manhatten, the Statue of Liberty, the Battery and the East River and the Hudson coming together. It is kept clean and it is pretty. Give it a try!
