As iconic a location as the Empire State building or Central Park. After being there, you'll start to realize how many movies, tv series use the Promenade for its dramatic and breathtaking perspective on the upper harbor and lower Manhattan. No other place where we can look in one direction and see the Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State and Chrysler buildings... More

I enjoyed this path very much, but as we sat on a bench and saw the building that had already taken and will soon rob more of the full Brooklyn Bridge view, it made me feel very sad. Progress but at what cost?

Unreal. The view just didn't look real, they looked like big blocks of legos to me haha, that being said it was incredible, had a fab time with my sister and cousins. Wanna go back during the summer to have BBQ there. It's definitely a place worth visiting.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon walk along the promenade and took some nice pictures of lower Manhattan. There was construction going on so some of the walkways were closed.

The views of lower Manhattan from the Promenade are amazing. Day or night you get stunning views of all those buildings right across the river, and it's a nice place to stroll/jog.

We all owe former Mayor Bloomberg a thank you for working so hard to ensure the creation of the riverfront park and Brooklyn Heights Promenade! What breath-taking views! What an amazing walk! We walked for two hours down the riverside and enjoyed family conversation and the views. We felt incredibly privileged and of course, it was all for free!

We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan and then came down to the promenade just to take the view in and wow what a view. To get down to the promenade you walk through a lovely neighborhood. This should be added to the Brooklyn Bridge walk and become part of your to do list.

One of the best views of downtown Manhattan and a must when in NYC. Ideally you go there before down and stay until it is dark you will have two different amazing views. You can also monitor the progress of the Brooklyn Bridge Park (http://www.brooklynbridgepark.org/).
