I say this is one of the best attractions in NYC. The promenade has a phenomenal view of Manhattan's skyline, without the drawbacks: Fear of heights [my daughter and wife had it], waiting lines and the expense [free admission]. The promenade is a few minutes walk from clark street subway station which is the first stop from Manhattan, so it... More

Took a tour through the river front and had a great time at (smorgushburg???) Felt very safe in the big city with great views and a very lively crowd. I am looking forward to return and try a bike rental. Enjoy the photo opps. of the skyline across the river.

If you walk over the Brooklyn bridge, turn left and walk down into DUMBO you are about a 10 minute walk away from Brooklyn Heights. It is a pedestrian walkway with spectacular views of the Statue of Liberty, Manhattan's, the Staten island ferry port and also a glimpse at some magnificent brownstone houses. It is well worth making the effort... More

We went for the best stroll of our lives at the Brooklyn Promenade. What a beautiful view. The park allows you to lay out and enjoy the surroundings. I felt like a moment of history taking place.

Downtown Brooklyn, walk on the Brooklyn Bridge and see the other bridges: Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges. great shopping, eats and just a great borough to visit while visiting NYC. Enjoy, oh, make certain to eat pretzel and knish from our famous "hot dog carts." Oh, I soon miss home. Also, make certain to enjoy "a real... More
