Beautiful views

Currently beautiful view across to Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. Let's hope developments don't block that out for us all to enjoy!

Stroll around with a friend who lives nearby. It was really nice. Beautiful views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Amazing place to watch the sunset. Cute places near to have a coffee. Nice parks, they even have an area for bbqs which was very cool. Fun and cheap plan!

Having spent the afternoon in Brooklyn, I decided to walk back to Manhattan firstly walking through the Brooklyn Heights Promenade on my way across Brooklyn Bridge. Even though the snow from storm Jonas was still very much on the ground, the main paths were clear and the views of the sunset over the Manhattan skyline were gorgeous.

Having lived in Brooklyn for 20 years and I always tell people who visit that the glitter and glam of Manhattan is nice, but you haven't seen the real New York until you've been to the outer boroughs---especially Brooklyn (IMHO!). That being said, for those who don't have the time or are a little skittish about getting too deep into... More

The walk passes many interesting areas and has views of the river. There are exit stairs if you are drawn to an interesting spot or store. There was beautiful art all along the path. Very enjoyable and relaxing to stroll out of the traffic but still enjoy all the scenery.

Brooklyn in October is a bit of a hit and miss, but this hotel is pretty close to most convenience stores and public transport as well, rooms are basic but well maintained, friendly staff, little bit on the noisy side due to a large number of vehicles plying nearby but all in all, a good deal considering location, internet and... The Promenade is great, although they are building a new condo below it that hopefully won't block the view too much. Maybe not the best venue in the dead of winter, but great for nice weather and watching the sun set over New Jersey.

It's just a nice place to see the southern Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and a few key nyc bridges. Great place for photographers to take pictures.

We walked the promenade before walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. The views are unbelievable from this walkway. It was so peaceful and the surrounding neighborhood is very pretty. I would definitely recommend combining this with a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Still a lovely area to for a waterfront stroll, but recent development is making it less pleasant. Great spot for an early morning cup of coffee or tea.
