The Promenade has great views of the city and many benches to sit if you can find an empty one. The only drawback is the highway adjacent to it. Constant traffic noise.Still an enjoyable place to go if you are un the neighborhood.

Outstanding view and stroll and exceptional architecture. One of the best things to do when you visit New York and THE best in Brooklyn.

Everybody else in Brooklyn and half the world has. This is the reason why New Yorkers are generally in good shape. They walk.

Based on reviews, we made this a special destination for us on our next trip to NYC, and we thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic view. We visited on a sunny, but very windy, chilly day. Even with the less than welcoming conditions, it was a beautiful walk. We arrived by exiting the High Street subway station. After getting our bearings we... More

If you are looking for a good spot to enjoy the New York skyline, here it is. A beautiful little path highlighting the gorgeous buildings and bridges of New York. The promenade is lined with trees and seats and is a pleasant place to relax and take in all of this amazingness! Recommend starting here and walking the Brooklyn Bridge... More

Granted this is mostly a view of downtown, there is no place better in all of the city to get a free view as amazing as this of NYC. When driving on the BQE, all drivers automatically slow down to appreciate the view, but it's a much safer option to just be in the park for this view. It's soothing... More

Love walking along here during the day but it really takes off at night - nice to start here then walk over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan. No point in walking the other direction as all you see is Brooklyn...

Went at sunset. The view is picturesque. I kept spacing out and just staring at the view needing to remind myself that it's real and not a painting! Beautiful! You can see the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Skyline etc. There are benches if you want to sit. Nearby the promenade there are shops that you can get a... More

The Brooklyn Promenade will always hold a special place in my heart...my favorite shoe store on Montague Street (Bentley's), Haagen Daz ice cream and the promenade overlooking the South Street Seaport..whether you are alone, with a group or special someone, it soothes the soul and it is ALL Things Brooklyn!
