This was such a neat experience. Brooklyn Heights is gorgeous and just when you think the view can't be any better, you see Manhattan. It's just a lovely spot for a walk.

I liked the historical references included along the walk. Even though the road is just underneath the walkway, traffic noise doesn't intrude on the wonderful ambiance of looking across to the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline.

For two years as a youth I lived in Cobble Hill and I used to come up to the Promenade all the time. My introduction to Brooklyn Heights was when I worked for the Chemical Bank which at the time was on Court and Schermerhorn, As I understand it there is a building going up that blocks some of the... From Manhattan take a gentle stroll over Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn Heights Promenade is easy to find. Its a chilled out area with cafes and restaurants close by. You can take a casual walk along the promenade and take in the great views of the lower Manhattan skyline.

While visiting New York and staying in Brooklyn we happened along this walk while waiting on a friend. The walk is new parts still being finished. There different sights to see with great views of Manhattan. The only draw back is it is very noisy from bridge and train traffic. I believe the F train stop is close by.

This was a chance drive through that turned out to be a real adventure. Seeing Manhattan sky line from across the East River is a real treat. I even stayed until after sunset and the total scene was amazing. PS lots of great places to eat and drink in area.

The Promenade is the best place to see the city skyline, including the Statue of Liberty. Fantastic view of the Brooklyn Bridge and lower Manhattan. Definitely a must for every NYC visitor.
