It is a nice walk on the shore but not enough benches. The Carousel looked fun for the kids but the place is pretty deserted.

DUMBO offers one of the greatest views of Manhattan that exists from Brooklyn (or possibly anywhere in the NYC area). There's a nice riverfront pathway for both walkers and bikers alike. Plus, tons of cute shops and restaurants just slightly inland if you need a coffee or food break.

I live here so I am biased - best things to do: lobster roll at Luke's lobster, have a little wander around the park, grab a drink at jay street bar on jay & Plymouth ( live bluegrass music on Wednesdays and Saturdays) & go to Vosges and stock up on chocolate. Good for a leisurely weekend day.

Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overhang is a part of Brooklyn near Williamsburg where there is still some of the old New York to see. It is disappearing at a rapid rate though. The peole who fled the Village to take their creativit to another level with lower rent prices now find themselves in an area that is being taken over... More

Walking over the bridge was an interesting experience. There were bicyclist on one side and pedestrians on the other side not too crowded but plenty of people. The views were spectacular on the bridge and under the bridge at the park. The day we went there was lots going on; kayaking, rollerskating, basketball, and a pop up pool and beach.... More

Not so long ago there was nothing down under Brooklyn Bridge worth going to see... In fact once upon a time it was not very safe. Roll over a few years, now it's a well used, busy and attractive park, affording great views of the Manhattan skyline. Everyone is hanging out here, families, roller bladers, cyclists, walkers, joggers, picnic parties,... More

Dumbo is not the same Dumbo of 8 years ago! Take the F train (from manhattan or downtown) to York Street, and walk towards water street & enjoy the scene! This is the happening spot in NYC now, and I highly recommend spending a few hours here, before you walk across the brooklyn bridge. Epic!
