Not too much happening here but we were on a three day exploration of Brooklyn and this was a spot we had to see and enjoyed for a few hours. It is worth the visit for views of Manhattan, the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges, and coffee at the Brooklyn Roasting Co. Walk down to the river and take a $2... More

Dumbo couldn't possibly be as good as its hipster reputation, right? Wrong! Galleries, restaurants and the St. Anne's Warehouse Theater are just a few of the elements that enliven this gentrified Brooklyn attraction. On a temperate evening, take in First Monday, when local galleries open their doors to art lovers, serving up wine, cheese and creativity.

No idea why this is in the guide books or even described as an 'attraction'. It's a few scruffy blocks with some little shops and delis. Nothing to see except the bridges, don't waste your time going here.

Beautiful area with lots of personality! Great park for kids - excellent view and easy access to both Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. Park and carousel are great for the kiddos!

Visited here after spending time mainly on Manhattan Island. Lovely little place to visit for some unique shops, bars and great photo opportunities of the Queensborough bridge between ally ways. It was snowing heavily when we arrived but I bet this place would be even more awesome in the summer months.

Just a great area to have a snack at Shake Shack, Grimaldis or Ice Cream factory, and look out to the pier and see the Brooklyn Bridge. Also provides a great photo opportunity of the Queensborough bridge between the alley ways

I was walking around this neighborhood yesterday and stumbled upon some interesting buildings. One of the buildings I discovered was the Robert Gair Company. Robert Gair invented the paperboard folding carton by accident. He was a paper bag maker and printer in Brooklyn in the 1870's. There are some neat views of the three bridges (Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Manhattan).

Beautiful views of Manhattan (and of Brooklyn Bridge) just across the river. A variety of restaurants, shops & galleries to peruse. Add this to your list of must sees along with Williamsburg

Have lived here many years, long enough to see the transformation of a formerly desolate artist's neighborhood into one of the most expensive places to live in NYC. Now a historic neighborhood, DUMBO is worth a visit in conjunction to a visit to the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Restaurants: Current favorite restaurant is "Atrium" at Main Street. Pedro's Bar on Jay...
