There is no shortage of little parks, places to eat, snack or grab a coffee while you explore. There is a great little amphitheatre on a rocky beach in between Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges with really majestic views. Well worth checking out.

Go there! Go to the beach side have a friend with you and enjoy the view! There is a place between Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge and you will have some place to sit! Try to go there at night time to enjoy the full colours of manhattan.

A nice neighborhood to walk and explore. I was looking for the iconic view of the Manhattan Bridge to photograph (from Washington Street). Nice little shops, residences (the clock tower building form the show 'Selling New York' is down here). The promenade along East River gives great views of Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan.

Not only fun for the view of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty but fun to take a stroll along the East River in the new riverside parks. Good restaurants and coffee shops. Stop at One Girl Cookie to sample a Whoopie Pie and Ignazio for pizza. Well connected by subway. Be sure to also explore the adjacent... More

We add kind of high expectations for this area and was a "regular" experience. Everybody was saying it was a "magical" spot and that the feeling there would be very nice... Like a romantic spot..., nothing like it... It was nice but not as intense as expected. Its a "should go" if you have time but not a "must see"...

DUMBO has a way to go yet to be great, but it is on the way. Fun to be under the Manhattan Bridge. Shops, restaurants and living coming big here.

We walked over the brooklyn bridge to this area and I did wonder if we had missed something but it just is a peaceful area next to the river with some great views and photo opportunities. We went to a chic coffee house "One Girl Cookies" and had a couple of whoopee biscuits. Altogether great time out. Got the ferry... More

Appreciate the fact that they have created an attraction out of virtually nothing. Lots of restaurants and cafes around, if you like that sort of thing.
