Beautiful views of Manhattan (and of Brooklyn Bridge) just across the river. A variety of restaurants, shops & galleries to peruse. Add this to your list of must sees along with Williamsburg

Have lived here many years, long enough to see the transformation of a formerly desolate artist's neighborhood into one of the most expensive places to live in NYC. Now a historic neighborhood, DUMBO is worth a visit in conjunction to a visit to the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Restaurants: Current favorite restaurant is "Atrium" at Main Street. Pedro's Bar on Jay... Beautiful views, they have a carousel for the little ones, but overall, I don't think it will ever be what was expected. Better off walking over the Brooklyn Bridge! Jacque Torres has his chocolate store there - that in itself isn't worth the schlepp to that neighborhood.

Firstly, it's a beautiful area! Stunning! Great for dates, family outings or hangout with friends. So many areas in this place! There are bike rentals to bike on the boardwalk, huge grass area, benches, rocks to sit on... Very calming. Gorgeous and great experience.

This is a trendy area loaded with nicely decorated homes, small restaurants, and great photo opportunities. One thing I noted was the lack of people and how quiet it was when we visited. Not like the crowds across the river in Manhattan. We also felt very safe in that area. A relaxing moment in NYC.

DUMBO is awesome. Our son lives in Brooklyn and he turned us on to the area some years back. Every time we go, there is at least one wedding party, and the police helicopters always do flybys. From DUMBLO we took the ferry over to Manhattan and walked from there to the 911 memorial.

There is no shortage of little parks, places to eat, snack or grab a coffee while you explore. There is a great little amphitheatre on a rocky beach in between Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges with really majestic views. Well worth checking out.

Go there! Go to the beach side have a friend with you and enjoy the view! There is a place between Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge and you will have some place to sit! Try to go there at night time to enjoy the full colours of manhattan.
