Used this alot during a recent four day stay in Brooklyn. Great way to get into the city and enjoy the views. We used it at peak commuter time on week days and there was still plenty of room. Took about half an hour from Long Island to Pier 11.

Reasonably priced a good way of getting about. Admittedly is was a Sunday in February so not many on board.

I took the Staten Island ferry to lower Manhattan and took a short walk to the Eat River ferry terminal. I purchased an all day pass for $12.00 and it was well worth it. I rode the ferry to Brooklyn and then up to mid town Manhattan and then at the end of my trip just reversed the route all... More

Took the ferry from Williamsburg to Manhattan. It was chilly but a clear day, right at sunset. We got a spectacular view of the skyline and Brooklyn Bridge at sunset. Definitely worth the 4 bucks to get between Manhattan and Brooklyn and get a great view while your at it.

Our day tour of the city brought us to this ferry service so we could see the statue of liberty. The tour guide, DC, was great, very informative and entertaining. It was a nasty day and we were nice and comfortable on the boat.

Simple, inexpensive ($4.00 pp), efficient and timely. Taking a cab was the only option my husband would have been happy with. A cab from midtown to Brooklyn would cost ~ $30-35 USD. I researched the NY ferry options and schedules and the East River Ferry worked out perfectly. A few blocks of walking to the 34th St ferry terminal and... More

Found the East River Ferry suring our walk of the Brooklyn water front. $4 per person and in 5 minutes you are transported from Brooklyn to Wall Street. ( or midotwn Manhattan).

This ferry is easy to miss given the hype for the Circle, Staten Island ferry, et al, but if you’re a tourist traveling to or from mid-town, Brooklyn, or lower Manhattan on a nice day, you can’t beat the view for the $4 fair. It’s a high speed ferry for commuters, but if you can stay upright on the deck... More

After walking the Brooklyn Bridge and eating take out from Grimaldi's this was the perfect way of getting back to 34th Street and taking in the Manhattan skyline
