Clean, well kept park with food, restrooms, views of Manhattan. Getting to be pretty crowded with locals and tourists alike. Playground is good for little kids (toddlers), not so much for older ones (no monkey bars, etc.). Go to Pier 6 (walkable from BB Park) for a great playground for older kids (5 and over).

Bring some food and drinks, a blanket, cross the bridge and spend some time chilling out there. It's a nice place, with a perfect view of the skyline. You can go back to Manhattan with the East River ferry.

I'm lucky enough to live here and just have two tips. The first is that there's an awesome assembly of 100+ food stands here on Sundays from 11 to 6 through October called Smorgasburg (it's in Williamsburg on Saturdays). It's adjacent to the Park entrance at the base of Joralemon Street (the southern end of the park, as opposed to... More

Once again Brooklyn has a gem! Being born and raised here I'm always amazed out just how beautiful our borough can be. This park is properly placed under the belly and around the hips of Downtown. The sections are creatively hidden(kiddie swings, slides, etc.) and the grounds are well kept. I have at times taken the family just for a... More

Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Public Art Fund have teamed up for the installation of 18 interactive pieces called collectively "Please Touch the Art" by Danish artist and designer Jeppe Hein. They will be on view through March 2016 and are already a huge hit with visitors. "Appearing Rooms" on the Bridge View Lawn (Pier 1) consists of water jets... More

They have a park shape like a boat for the kids. Some weekends they have food festival. The have a ice parlor.. Great ice cream. Good pizza from the... More

The Brooklyn promenade leads you to the Brooklyn Bridge park. Paved pathways with some undulations until you get to the bridge, after which is a flat and even path. All along the park walkway you have a spectacular view of lower to mid-Manhattan. I suggest a subway to Court street with a walk along the promenade and Brooklyn Bridge park... More

BB Park is amazing, my favorite aspect of it is Pier 5, which has 3 full soccer fields overlooking the best view of the city as well as BBQs that are free to use. I always plan ahead and bring some charcoal and meat and grill up a storm. There are so few parks in which you can BBQ and... More
