A brilliant use of what could be a rotting dock area built into a wonderful green space including a pool. Great way to repurpose dock land in an urban area.

We took the A train to High Street station and walked a couple of blocks to the park. Awesome views of bridge, Manhattan skyline, and Statue of Liberty. Would highly recommend a visit to this park.

in this part of Brooklyn and this really is an amazing park. Yes, there is new building, but the use of the waterfront is both inspiring and lovely to witness. There are so many aspects to the park - bbq pits, soccer pitches, kids playgrounds, walking and biking paths, the interesting bridge/walkway to Squibb park. It helps connect the promenade... More

All was going so well with the landscaping, the arts festivals, the trees and the Water Music, then all of a sudden, a huge monstrosity of a building goes up right under the bridge, obscuring the view across the water for thousands of passers by. Another luxury condo we were promised would not be built in the park, as there... More

Just to be fair, my son is the operations VP of this park...but that being said, it is a great park with a greta view of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. The southern end of the Park is devoted to various children's playgrounds and a children's small water park...the rest of the park is devoted to various sports and... More

Though parking may be difficult on weekends and summer (not a lot of spots), coming on a weekday is quite nice. We parked at the 5th pier (I believe) and walked all the way to the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. It was a very nice walk with beautiful views and art work. We stopped half way to use the rest... Hit this after you stroll through the amazing area under the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. There is so much to do here from the soccer fields, kayaking, handball, basketball, big lawns for strolling and laying about, playgrounds that look like Pirate Ships, a water park playground, the ferry to Governors' Island. Get some Pizza at Grimaldi's! Buy some chocolate at... More
