Besides the major sights and history, Dom took us thru the back alleys and side streets to meet the budding entrepreneurs of Brooklyn. Meeting CAM, a well known graffiti artist was a treat. From organic relaxation oils to community bike shops, got a great insight into what makes Brooklyn tick!!

This is one of the best walking city tours I have even been on! Dom Gervasi is the owner/operator of this and two other "Made In Brooklyn" tours. As not only a native of Brooklyn, but also a tour guide who has studied Brooklyn as an adult and uses the tour to not only share fascinating history about Brooklyn but... More

As a former NYC tour guide, I can say that Made in Brooklyn's Dom Gervasi is a gem. He has researched his tours extensively and paints a wonderful portrait of each neighborhood's past, at the same time exploring all that's going on currently. His points of interest may not be typical (monuments, churches, etc.) but they are so relevant and... More

My family and I took the Red Hook tour - 9 persons including a 12 and 16 year old, on a recent Sunday. Dom is an historian tour guide and has made arrangements with key artisans in the area to let you into their workshops - their products are unique and quite different from one another. The "makers" theselves are... More

My friend and I decided to take a day off from work. While we're local to the NYC area, we wanted to explore Red Hook, an area of Brooklyn that wasn't well known to us. A quick search pointed to Dom's "Made in Brooklyn Tours." Dom is enthusiastic, native to Brooklyn, and a virtual fountain of knowledge! He is well-known... More

Dom. Tons of amazing and interesting info is shared by Dom. We saw and learned about DUMBO in away that that no other tour we've taken on vacations has done. The pride Dom has in his home town is intoxicating. Well done.

This area of Brooklyn has a wonderful history and a very bright future. Gowanus was an industrial area of Brooklyn with access to the canal. Now that the canal has been brought into focus and granted the super fund of cleaning up this will be an area to watch. Still has the feel of old New York with many changes... More

I booked this tour on the last day of our trip to NYC, we'd been staying in Manhattan and I thought it would be a good way to see some of Brooklyn. It was fantastic, and I was so disappointed I hadn't booked it earlier so we could have done another one! Dom is friendly and a great story-teller. The... More

First I took the DUMBO tour and then Bensonhurst. I really enjoyed both tours. While the tours are different, on both tours Dom provided lots of information about the neighborhood including its history and transition over the years. Clearly Dom brings a lot of passion to Made in Brooklyn tours--he's from Brooklyn and enjoys sharing his knowledge with visitors. The... More

This tour is a little bit unique more than we expected. It is included to visit several shops/persons that are working/(actively) involved in Dumbo area, which we felt very interesting. The tour guide Dom was very kind and abundant knowledge about Brookln. Thank you Dom.
