Visiting with the family over Christmas we wanted something fun and saw on Samantha Brown the Slice of Brooklyn's Christmas light tour....this was such fun. We loaded a bus in Manhattan and rode out to Brooklyn and saw beautiful displays but the highlight was getting off the bus in Dyker Heights and seeing more lights and displays and animation I... Living in Brooklyn the most decorated neighborhood has to be Dyker Heights, the most elaborate of decorations for the Christmas Holidays I have ever seen ! Many times cars have lined up to drive block by block circling the area enjoying the decorations with children in tow to give the holiday spirit to all .

If you like Christmas ... this is the place to be. Houses are decorated with thousands of lights and the whole area just reminds me of wonderland. Just make sure you visit during the week as the weekends are super packed with tourists and locals alike. If you drive it is a miracle if you find parking :)

I love looking at Christmas lights and I enjoy going out every year and trying to find new places to look at lights. Dyker Heights is such an awesome place to see lights. I would recommend parking your car some where and walking the blocks. We walked 83rd to 86th and 11th to 13th Avenues. Traffic gets backed up really... More

Nothing will prepare you for the Christmas joy which is Dyker Heights and the orgy of festive one-upmanship undertaken by this wonderfully generous (and competitive!), Italian-American neighbourhood. Go there; stare in wonder! Marvel at the spectacle! Ponder the electricity bills! Under no circumstances should you miss this. Go.

We took a drive to the Christmas Lights - "Lucy's house" in particular.... and it was so great. We went about a week after Christmas and did a drive up and down all the streets after 10pm. Any other time I suspect we would have had too many cars/walkers around to navigate safely. I loved all the lights - it... More

This is something that we were really looking forward to, and didn't really know what to expect. The bus was on time and the guide was great, having many little stories about the areas we were taken to. But the Highlight was the lights in Dyker Heights. There is no other word to use but STUNNING. It was great that... More
