This is your stereotype kind of American Lunapark (at least as seen from a European perspective): several attractions and rides (of which some very simple); plenty of food stands and close to the beach boardwalk. We bought tickets by using the New York pass, which gives you unlimited access to quite some rides but not the 7 biggest ones. From... More

Still haven't gotten to ride all the rides I want, but I'm glad this attraction still exists. It is unbelievably expensive, even by amusement park standards, but it is still fun to explore, and maybe take one or two rides while you are there (unless you budgeted for a very pricey day-out). Luna Park is right on the beach, and... More

It had been a few years since I had been to Coney Island, so I was surprised to see that Luna Park has taken over almost the entire Coney Island boardwalk. Most of the original restaurants are gone. There are now some White Castle Express locations and a bigger Nathan's ON the boardwalk. The place looks great and the atmosphere... More

Went on spring break and waited 1 hour to buy tickets , that should have warned me but park was so crowded that we never even got to use wrist bands. there was human gridlock and they were still selling tickets - Lines for rides were out of control. Rode thrill rides and resented payign 44 for two kids to... More

Great atmosphere and location on Coney island......nostalgia flowing and you will have fun....but $22 for a ride?...That's the price of one ride and 1/2 dozen others are $10 a whack....wristband doesn't get you best rides included (although secondary rides are real good!)....and "credits" that you buy are a RIP OFF!!!!,,,taking advantage of location and many distance from a "real" amusement... We went during Passover and had a blast! There was so many people here enjoying the spring sun! The rides was great , just long lines. The worst was the bathrooms! The place was packed with little kids with moms going crazy. Long lines to enter just to get in. Other then that it was jam packed with fun!!!!!

My daughter (17 years old) and I were visiting Manhattan over the long holiday week-end of Easter and had in our bucket list to visit Coney Island/ Luna Park ...At 7 pm, after a long subway ride...we arrived at destination to discover policeman everywhere... Even a tactical unit bus parked outside the park...We went into the park anyway...AND HAD A... More

We visited Luna Park on opening weekend, so the crowds were very low. My daughter had wanted to visit here just to see this iconic place. So mission accomplished. I am sure it would be a lot more busy on summer weekends. It is a piece of history.
