The place is booming with life. Loud, crowded, lines to get on rides. The rides are rated by a "thrill" factor and some of them are really scary even if they don't look so bad before the ride. That was the case of a "Tickler" that looked very innocent from below but it was rightly rated as "high thrill". I... More

Great place to enjoy some rides, crowds, games and carnival food. The location is excellent albeit a somewhat long subway ride from the Times Square area. Rides for all thrill levels. A must do place for families with kids or teens.

Great fun & worth the 50 minute subway ride from Midtown Manhattan. We enjoyed just wondering around taking it all in. There are lots of places to stop for food & drink (including the famous Nathan's hot dog chain). You can buy tokens if you plan to go on a lot of the rides, or just buy a ticket for... More

Luna Park/Coney Island has become one of my favorite spots to go with my son. It can be on the expensive side, but the 4 hour bracelets are worth it. And if you can get the groupon DO IT!!! Great deal. 4 hours is enough time to spend on the rides. Then you can walk the boardwalk and on Friday... More

Luna Park is now owned by Italian ride manufacturer Zamperla, so all the rides and roller coasters are manufactured by them (The Cyclone is owned by New York City and operated by Luna Park on their behalf) As such, the rides are a bit limited. With the exception of the Cyclone, the roller coasters are decent enough, but nothing outstanding... More

Other than the high prices for rides which can be expected, the park was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. $9 per ride on the Cyclone is highway robbery which is the reason that my rating wasn't higher, but we enjoyed the experience of riding on a historic wooden roller coaster. Staff was constantly trying to keep the... More
