Coney Island is like no other place in the United States! It is truly a nice place to visit to get that authentic Brrooklyn experience. I am hoping that some money will be spent in making it the place it used to be.

Saw Mermaid parade wich was fun. Attractions were expensive and not so special according to our amusementpark-expert-teenager. But ok! Beach was fine for a dip in the sea. Eat at smorgosburg.

We got a subway direct from times square all the way to Coney Island. Got a corn dog from Nathans which wasn't as bad as it sounds (but was a little pricey). Walked along the board walk. Sat at the end of the pier and had a drink. We didn't go on any of the rides but it doesn't cost... More

Visiting NYC on a Monday afternoon with my family from Texas we just HAD to go to the iconic Coney Island! Our first impression was that the older rides at Deno's Amusement Park were dated and that the park was somewhat dilapidated...but then again, that's why we came--for the nostalgia! So to the 95 year old Wonder Wheel Ferris Wheel... More

If you're looking for the sunburnt scantily clad white trash version of Disneyland - congrats! You have found what you are looking for. The rides are extremely fun but I'd say at least 30% of the fun comes from how unsafe the rides seemed. If poorly constructed rides don't float your boat - creepy locals will do the trick! Make... Took the D line from the Bronx straight to Coney Island. Had lunch at Nathan's. Got a bench overlooking the beach. It was a beautiful day. Didn't ride any rides but walked all over. I've been to NYC many times but never to Coney Island. Not nearly as "cheesy" as I expected! It was a nice surprise.

Fun for the whole family: carousels, boardwalk, beach and Nathan's hot dogs. Disappointment is that the ocean is so polluted you don't really want to bath in it. Besides that then what's not to like?

We visited Coney Island as my partner was keen to get a feel for the cult movie The Warriors. A simple subway trip from Church Avenue through to Coney Island-last stop- all for 3 dollars each. This was akin to stepping back in time to those traditional wooden seaside rides. Rode the Big Wheel however I did insist on a... More

We got a wrist band here from our NYC Pass - and the kids wore theirs out let me tell you. Loved the rides, Soaring Eagle was a favorite - Steeple Chase, and many more. Loved the boardwalk and beach. We were so happy to be here during the beginning of the summer - and because it was a Friday... More
