This is where New Yorkers come to unwind or to get that little adrenaline kick, whatever you prefer, cause this little treasure has a beach, fishing pier and rollercosters!! What I loved about this place, was that they had Salsa dancing and open karaoke in the street where anyone and everyone could join. What a fun place to go on... More

We have always heard of Coney Island on TV and in the movies. We had been to NYC but never took the time to visit Coney Island. It was well worth the trip. We took the "D" subway line to Stilwell ave, which is right at the beach. We picked a gorgeous day and the beach was full of sunbathers... More

We visited this venue because we wanted to see a place that we had heard about and seen in movies. It took a good 45 minutes to get there on the train from Upper West Side. Unfortunately Hurricane Sandy impacted and recovery is still underway. We were not interested in swimming or spending time on the beach - we strolled... More

We did our homework on the internet and were looking forward to the quintessential Coney Island experience. As we exited the subway at Coney Island/Stillwell onto Surf Ave, we were treated to a “stained glass” (in glass bricks) view of the Coney Island coaster and ferris wheel. Reaching the street, the original Nathan’s came into full view in all it’s... More

We weren't going expecting a Six Flags experience, so it met our expectations. The rides, food, shows, etc were very expensive for what you get (i.e. $10 a rollar coaster ride per person). It isn't the cleanest boardwalk or beach. The games are ok. The kids seemed to have fun in the area with younger rides. The few rollar coasters... More

Greetings from Atlanta where I retired to about 7 years ago. Once of the things I miss was going to the newe minor leagie basball park in Coney Island that has the best view ( the ocean and the parachut jump structure ) of any ballpark . IT ios located where the old Luna Park amusement area was when I... More

First, the beach was filthy. Glass, trash ect all over sand. The beach water itself was nice. The strip, lots of little restaurants, ect. Park- a bunch of rides; be prepared to spend bucks. Overall average. I don't really understand what is the hype of Coney Island, but I did it once in my life, so it's good enough for... More

Ever since a kid, I've heard about Coney Island. It just sounded like one of the best places in the world to visit. It took me a long time to get there but it's totally worth it! Even if you don't ride the rides, it's fun to watch and try to figure out HOW they were able to get that... More

I went to walk on the boardwalk, see the sights and of course have a Nathans Lemonade and french fries. The beach is amazing and very clean. So much to look at..lots of new rides and stores.

We decided to make a visit and have a rest during the hot weather. The beach here is amazing and although the arcades and amusements are great for the younger market there is little for us older ones. Take a look at what Valencia or Alicante have on their beach side and some simple improvements could really revamp the area.
