I had nothing in my mind when we arrived there in a Autumn sunny but very cold morning with two small kids last week! But I can say, it worth! The light is amazing for photo´s lovers and the kids had a lot of fun! Even though the amusement parks were not open, it was great to see the sea,... More

I had fantasized the place through various movie references but the "not so old not so new" amusement park disappointed me a lot ! And Little Odessa was unfriendly, dirty, under the subway... and a lot less appealing than Chinatown or little Italy (that said I still love Russian culture) Is Nathan's really the best hot dogs on earth ?...up... We went there recently on a weekday knowing that the rides would not be open. But we wanted to see it as it's so well known. We got the subway there which was easy enough. We took a walk along the boardwalk. A few fast food places were open. It was pretty disappointing. I suppose it's different at night with... More

What a place! If there ever was a place designed for people watching, Coney Island would be it. It's a fantastic place to step back in time, ride a world-famous roller coaster (The Cyclone), and grab a hot dog from the place that made hot dogs famous. We had a fantastic time here.

Fun place to visit... Not sure if the area is for small children anymore but it was worth the trip just to say I have been there. Lots of refurbishing was going on while we were there. So I would love to go back and see what changes and improvements have been made.

Our first time here was with a tour at Christmas 2013. Everything was closed but it was still magical. We returned August 2014 and everything was open. Of course we ate at Nathans, had ice cream from a nice little shop there. We did all the rides! My husband and 2 kids really enjoyed it...much better than the Santa Monica... More

Looked a very good place, though we visited here outside of the season, so the most of shops were closed, the beach were empty, and the Luna Park also closed. And just for warning: we tested those famous hotdogs, and no, I wouldn't buy them next time when I might visit there, they were dull and flavorless.

Coney Island is a wonderful place. The ocean is beautiful. There are many nice rides. Plenty of places to eat. There is a wonderful baseball park to see games. Also like a lot of places keep your guard up.

Took the D train from Columbus Circle. The packed train soon empties when it leaves Manhatten. We went in October out of season so not many left when we got to the terminus. Took about an hour to get there no changing involved. Like going back in time. Walked up the boardwalk and then had some drinks in one of... More
