My husband and I road with about 22 other people up to the Arctic Circle in a bus driven by guide Aaron Lojewski who works for Northern Alaska Tour Company in late August, 2015. Aaron drove us there in safety and educated us along the route of roughly 200 miles north of Fairbanks, Alaska. We learned about the permaforst, pioneers,... More

This was an awesome adventure! We flew from Fairbanks to Coldfoot following the Alaskan Pipeline in a 9-seat, twin engine plane about 2-3000' above the tundra and our pilot was extremely informative about the topography and history of the area. Upon landing, we hopped in a tour bus and headed south (we started about 100 miles above the arctic circle),... More

We really enjoyed a relaxing 1 hour flight out to the Arctic circle and back during our stay in Fairbanks. On arrival at the hanger delightful young staff briefed us thoroughly and professionally , putting me at my ease as a slightly nervous flyer. The weather was perfect and our pilot Mike flew low over places of interest, looked out for wildlife(disappointingly nothing... We don't care for tours, generally, but our visit to the Arctic Circle with the wonderful Suzanne changed our minds. 17 hours of driving, and the woman's attention nearly flagged. She was gracious, creative, and informative - no doubt 90% of what I know about the interior of Alaska is due to Suzanne. We made a few fun stops, including... More

We rented an SUV for a three day round trip up the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay. Very comfortable vehicle. High price, but worth it considering the damage the car could incur. Friendly, informative people with quick service. Absolutely no problems with the vehicle (Ford Escape) on our 1,000 mile journey. Comes complete with all the equipment you need for... More

It is a long day for sure but it moves quickly and you would never trade the experience for anything. NATC is very well organized. We were a group of about 16 in a large van - very safe. There were not a lot of trucks on the Dalton Highway. We had stops at a gift shop, Yukon River Camp... More

Crossing the Arctic Circle and standing at the shoreline of the Arctic Ocean was a once in a lifetime experience. We put our hands in the ocean, but some came prepared with a towel so they could wade in it. I wish I had been prepared to do that. The drive from Fairbanks to Coldfoot was incredible with our very... More

We took the 3 day fly/drive tour to Deadhorse/Prudhoe Bay from Fairbanks in late July & it was one of the best things we did during our Alaskan holiday. We flew north & were met by our tour guide Norm. If you want flash hotels then this is not for you but we loved it all. Accommodation is in mining... More

This was a great tour. Drive to coldfoot than fly back to fairbanks. The early morning was very early 5:15am but we thought it better than the late afternoon trip as u get back into fairbanks around 2:00 am in the morning. We had Michael as out tour guide for the land portion (bus up) up to coldfoot he was... More

On a recent visit to Alaska I was looking for something a little different. The idea of crossing the Arctic Circle appealed to me and I had time constraints. Then I discovered an air tour beyond the Arctic Circle. During the summer the 5 hour tour runs 3 times a day 7am, 1pm and 7pm. As we were on an... More
