Ian, our tour guide, was outstanding; however, one Taiwanese participant insisted in front row passenger seating the entire 15 hour trip due to a physical handicap. However, he was able to walk up a hill, in the snow, as well as many other normal physical activities. I do not think this was appropriate and seating rotation should have been enforced.... more

My husband and I are trying to see all of our National Parks and after months of researching - I chose Northern Alaska Tour Company as our way to visit part of Gates of the Arctic National Park. I selected their drive/fly tour up the Dalton Highway to Coldfoot -- at which point we were supposed to fly into Anaktuvuk... more

At the behest of my husband, I joined him on this epic journey through the unspoiled Alaskan tundra and wilderness. Boy am I glad that I did! It was a long day, beginning around 6:30 am and ending around 10:30pm. Most of this time is spent within the sanctuary of the shuttle--where one can most easily escape the wrath of... more

We took this trip June 1st to June 3rd. The trip was phenomenol! Our group was 7 people and we traveled in a 9 passenger van up the Dalton Highway. We had a wonderful driver/guide (Norm) who was so knowledgeable we all called him "Normapedia". The places we stayed were "rustic" but very clean and the food was quite good... more

My childhood friend & I spent three nights at the Slate Creek Inn in March 2009 on an aurora borealis package booked through northernalaska.com. We wanted to be away from light pollution for the best chances of seeing the lights and we truly enjoyed this trip. The Inn and truck stop are one of very few signs of life on... more

On July 30 my husband and I trundled into a van with five other people in Fairbanks we didn't know with Rob as our driver, and ended up heading to Prudhoe Bay on a wonderful adventure with great people. Rob was knowledgeable, funny, friendly and accommodating to the adventurous group. We quickly bonded into a fun group who shared common... more

I took the Arctic Circle Winter Drive Tour for January 26, 2008, and had one of the best area day tours I've ever experienced. I set up the tour by e-mail based on Northern Alaska Tour Company's listing at TripAdvisor. The tour group, five visitors from the lower 48, plus driver Rebecca Hazen, a transplant from New Mexico, met at... more

WHAT A TREAT! This is the way to see the Alaskan landscape, tundra, pipeline, Yukon River and Arctic Circle that you might have no other way or reason to see. I visited Fairbanks for a week and wanted a dream-of-a-lifetime trip to the Arctic Circle. This company has been in business since 1987 and offers a choice of Arctic Circle... more
