We booked 3 aurora light tours with 1st Alaska Outdoor School. Artic Circle with Matthew as our guide was great. It was a long drive, but Matthew was fun to visit with. He introduced us to some true Alaskan facts and probably some not so true. Really hard to believe he drinks "moose milk". Haha! Very good driver and was... More

We had Arctic Circle, Chena Hot Spring, and Murphy Dome with 1st Alaska School. The trip to Arctic Circle with tour guide Kasey is highly recommended. She is ssssssssuper professional, knowledgeable, patient, kind and nice!! We had a lot of fun and wonderful time during the trip. It was a 400-mile, 14-hr driving trip but totally not boring at all.... More

We used First Outdoor for three days, for three different excursions. Randy took us on the Arctic Circle and Northern Lights tour. It is a 14 hour trip up the Dalton Hwy. Matthew took us to Murphys Dome to see the Northern Lights. Dave took us to Chena Hot Springs Resort. There we toured the Ice Museum, rode snow machines... More

We had a great time starting when our driver Joe picked us up at the hotel and brought us to the yurt about 20 minutes from downtown Fairbanks. Everyone we met was friendly, happy to talk and answer questions. We were fortunate to be able to see the northern lights start as we got out of the car and from... More

The guides were great and went out of their way to accommodate us and give us the best possible experience. Did the Artic Circle/Aurora tour, the Dog Mushing/Aurora tour and the Hot Springs tour. All in all an amazing experience made better by the folks at 1st Alaska.

The tours we went on were extraordinary. Our guide was Randy who was both knowledgeable, interested in our optimizing our experiences, and caring for the group. I cannot say enough positive about him and he would be the main reason for our returning for more winter experiences.

From our conversations with him, Randy was incredibly knowledgeable in all things winter sport and Alaska. He told us some amazing stories as well as inform us... More

I only had the chance to do one tour with this company while I was in Alaska and it was great! I did the dog mushing and sledding and it was AMAZING. The driver Mike was awesome and so friendly. If you make it to Alaska this is a must do!
