We did this tour with 1st Alaska outdoor school end August in Fairbanks. Transport from our hotel to and from Chena Hot Springs was punctual, comfortable and safe. It was a fairly long drive from our lodging at Pike's waterfront. The tour group size was small. Our impression of Chena hot springs resort was beautiful. We gathered at the activities... More

This tour was by far the highlight of our Alaskan adventure! 1st Alaska Outdoor School has the best driver: Mike. He is an exceptional tour guide and we were so fortunate to have him as our tour guide. He is very knowledgable about the rugged terrain of the Dalton Highway (most of it is gravel road). His love of the... More

We did the arctic circle tour out from Fairbanks. They pick you up at your hotel/campgound in the morning. What makes this so difrent from other tours is the small number of participants (maximum number is nine). We stoped for a real truckers breakfast and stoped on numeros ocations. Our guide and driver Mike R. was really great. Not only... More

I took the trip out to the Northern lights/ arctic circle and I had a fantastic time. Our guide was so resourceful and he also gave us handy tips to take photo's of the northern lights. The best part was being able to stop whenever we saw a good spot to view the lights or to get some great pictures.... More

I love small tour groups and definitely prefer them over big groups. This night time aurora tour I have been on last night consisted of five passengers and that was perfect. Mike did a very good job in driving, explaining and taking care of us. We were lucky enough to see the Aurora dance for a very long time again... More

Three of us did the Arctic Circle/Northern Lights Tour In February of this year. Our guide Jim, showed up at our hotel right on time and with a warm smile and greeting. Jim is an awesome guide, he is super knowledgeable and very engaging. He can talk for hours on any subject and hold your interest. We felt very safe... More

We took a 7 hour tour of the Chena Hot Springs through 1st Alaska School and were very happy with the experience. Our tour guide Sam was very knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating. The Hot Springs were really good as was the ice museum and geothermal tours. Overall a very pleasing experience for us!

We did the arctic circle tour with 4 others ( 6 total ) with Ken as our driver. Ken gave us a lot of extra commentary & a few jokes, he is a asset to the company. The tour was a long day on a bumpy road with many scenic & informative stops, for this length of tour the price... More

We went to Fairbanks in March in search of the Northern lights. We arrived on March 20-were pretty tired and went to bed- and lo and behold best night for it! But we had booked the Chena tour and the next night the Lodge tour to try and see the lights. The Chena tour was very good- Sam, the guide,... More
