My wife and I wanted to make the most of our three days in Fairbanks. 1st Alaska was recommended by our hotel. I worked with Kasey to coordinate the timing of our tours built around three nights of northern light experiences. The first night was the photo tour with Cori to make sure that we could get the best pictures... More

I met Daniel, the best tour guide ever, at Chena Hot Springs night before we scheduled the Northern Light tour with him. He is friendly and engaging person where he approached us randomly at the Hot Springs. We decided to take a tour with him the next day after meeting him that night. The Northern Light tour was majestic and... More

Everything ocurred as planed. Drivers and guide tours were at hotel right on time. Lunch and dinner were provided for the Artic Circle Tour. Very attencious guide tours on both tours I took. The best thing for me was that I was traveling by myself and this company was the only company that accepted me as single traveler. They always... More

I booked three trips with 1st Outdoor School. First, the booking process was slow and communication with the office was a challenge. I questioned if they even wanted my business. They prefer group travels rather than single. For two of the three trips, the driver/guide were simply doing their job--pick up,drive to site, return to drop-off. Very little communication and... I am extremely sorry for the booking problem you experienced. Your booking was first handled by a trainee. In our communications we apologized for the hick up and when you called in to share the amazing pictures of northern lights you made during our tours we where convinced you are happy and leave Alaska with good memories. Again, I can... More

We had the good fortune to have the best guide for our tour, his name is Dan! His goal was to make every effort for us to be able to get the best view of the Northern Lights. If it wasn't for his detour we would perhaps missed part of the show that the lights put on that night. The... More

I booked the snow machining at Chena hot spring tour two days before. And I had never received my confirmation email. A girl named ''Kasie" promised she would send it to me asap and gave me the info I need. However, by that day, the tour started without our group! NO ONE TRIED TO CALL ME AND NO APOLOGIES OFFERED!!!... More

Our guide Dan was OUTSTANDING. He was very informative and attentive throughout the trip. Ice museum and dinner were very nice. Wait for dinner was a little long. Hot springs were okay because it was dark and we could not see. I understand the lights are kept low for viewing the Northern lights which we got lucky and saw from... More

We did a day trip with Dave, our tour guide. He took his time to stop at interesting places, shared the history all whilst entertaining us with fantastic Alaskan music. He was probably the best guide I have ever experienced, knowledgeable, patient and also keen to learn from us. We arrived at the Arctic circle at 9:30 pm after leaving... More

Took the aurora photo workshop tour and dragged my wife along with. I picked the perfect night as it was clear and the aurora was active soon after our arrival at the remote viewing spot. The Guide "Cori" was extremely helpful and in helping me to set up my Camera for successfully photoing the Aurora. Got a lot of extremely... More

Carolie was very informative and helpful on this trip. She let us know what to expect and when events would happen. She was flexible with the group's requests and stopped along the way when more Aurora showings happened. It was a wonderful night with a fabulous view of the Aurora Borealis.
