Had a wonderful time - the crew was very professional and we learned how to set up our camera to get the best images of the Northern Lights (even though we weren't able to see them that night). Good food and hospitable hosts!

We cant even begin to thank 1st Alaska outdoor school for making our trip so wonderful. We were booked at Regency Fairbanks hotel and booked our tours through them but the tour operator was 1st Alaska outdoor school. We did Aurora Borealis lodge tour with Corey who was quite efficient and informative. We did Chena Hot springs with Ice museum... More

David was extremely knowledgeable and was very educational during the drive to the Artic Circle. It just took a long drive to the Artic Circle but it was all worth it when we were able to see the northern lights up there. Matthew was informative as well and was very patient during the Chena hot springs tour. I am completely... More

Oh man, I cannot say enough good things about our driver Daniel. Not only did he expertly manage some very hazardous road conditions to get us safely to Chena Hot Springs, but he delighted us throughout the drive (and rescued two stranded people on the way). An amazing trip with David on Tuesday to the Arctic Circle . I went with my 13 year old grandson Austin Bishop who took photos of the Northern lights using an inexpensive camera and a $10. tripod ! David stopped at numerous vantage points and gave us the trip of a lifetime ! David drove onward to see the lights... More

Our visit to Chena Hot Springs was better than we could have imagined, even though the Aurora did not appear that night. Our guide, Daniel, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and we very much enjoyed his company. The hot springs werre wonderful.

I've been to the Arctic Circle twice with 1st Alaska Outdoor School. The best memory last summer motivated the second one. I love it! And I wanna say "Thank you" to Joseph! Thanks for being the guide and I am so glad to bump into you on the second journey.
