We had two very enjoyable tours with this company by a guide named Mike. First was a Northern lights trip late in the night and the second was a personalized trip up Dalton Highway to the Arctic Circle. Mike was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure we enjoyed our excursions. Unforgettable experience.

Loved my tour guide David! He was friendly, knowledgeable and interesting. Enjoyed the small tour groups! Decided on taking a second tour with the company the next day. Looking forward to coming back soon. Great agency!

We pre-booked our tour with 1st Alaska Outdoor School. On the the first day, we went to Chena Hot Springs. It's about 3 hours drive from Fairbanks and our driver for this trip is Sam. Sam is very helpful and informative. We saw two mooses on the way there which was very cool. If it's your first time to Alaska,... More

If you are in Alaska you should have taken a couple of pictures of the impressive northern lights! With this well organized photo workshop it was possible for me to get great pictures as amateur as well. 1stalaskaoutdoorschool is definitely the right partner. They did a great job!

We were picked up by a lady who drove us to a viewing lodge which was extremely well set up for Aurora viewing. The owner "Mok" was very welcoming and we spent some time talking about photography and all things Aurora. Our guide (the lady) sat inside all night reading her Kindle.... then taxied us back to our hotel

I was overwhelmed of the 3 day tour to the Arctic Ocean/Prudhoe Bay with a really nice and competent guide, Joe. He showed us really nice places and told us interesting things and stories about Alaska. Additionally we saw a lot of animals and of course the beautiful landscape. Thanks for this unforgettable trip!

After reading the wonderful reviews on tripadvisor, I decided to book the Denali Shuttle, Chena Hot Springs/Northern Lights tour and the Arctic Circle/Northern Lights tour with 1st Alaska Outdoor School on Sept 10 and Sept 11 respectively. I never regretted doing so as I really enjoyed all my tours and shuttle with all the guides. They are friendly and are... More

I was with first Alaska for two tours as part of a trip to Fairbanks to see the northern lights from Jan 19 to Jan 23rd. On the 19th I participated in a tour to one of their viewing lodges to view the Aurora Borealis. We travelled 30 miles outside of Fairbanks to a small cabin, located a short walk... More
