I was overwhelmed of the 3 day tour to the Arctic Ocean/Prudhoe Bay with a really nice and competent guide, Joe. He showed us really nice places and told us interesting things and stories about Alaska. Additionally we saw a lot of animals and of course the beautiful landscape. Thanks for this unforgettable trip!

The tour was great. Our guide Mike was very know legible about the surroundings and the history. He was very friendly and helpful. If would recommend this tour to anyone. Even though it was raining he made the trip enjoyable.

After reading the wonderful reviews on tripadvisor, I decided to book the Denali Shuttle, Chena Hot Springs/Northern Lights tour and the Arctic Circle/Northern Lights tour with 1st Alaska Outdoor School on Sept 10 and Sept 11 respectively. I never regretted doing so as I really enjoyed all my tours and shuttle with all the guides. They are friendly and are... More

I was with first Alaska for two tours as part of a trip to Fairbanks to see the northern lights from Jan 19 to Jan 23rd. On the 19th I participated in a tour to one of their viewing lodges to view the Aurora Borealis. We travelled 30 miles outside of Fairbanks to a small cabin, located a short walk... More

This tour is a easy going way to enjoy the northern lights. We did two tours with them and they couldn't do enough for us. One tour was to murphys dome which was a lovely place to see the northern lights as it is out of town away from the lights. However sitting in a truck in the middle of... More

We had an amazing time out there with our guide Joseph. We booked this tour to Arctic circle along with Aurora viewing while coming back. Joseph was really informative and friendly. We did small hikes (suggested by our guide) and they were awesome. Coming back we saw these magnificent northern lights. Highly recommended if you are around Fairbanks. Thanks, Dev

Our guide, Mike R., picked us up at our hotel. My husband and I were the only ones in the van so we had a private tour for the day. We were impressed; other tour companies may have cancel. We drove about 1-1/2 hours to the Chena Hot Springs and Ice Museum (as seen on TV!). We visited the very... More

I did the Arctic Circle tour out from Fairbanks with "Safari" Jim. It was a solo trip. I was in Fairbanks from 20th to 22nd of September, 2014. It was a bit of late for regular summer trip to Arctic Circle. So I could not find any tour company providing the tour. However, I found Jim who was ready to... More

We travelled to Alaska Arctic Circle with the 1st Alaska Outdoor Tour Company our guide was Mike Ryan. Whilst the trip itself is long and there is little to see except wilderness it was interesting. Mike gave us a lot of information and also lots of time at the stops. I would not attempt to drive the Dalton Highway on... More

We did this tour with 1st Alaska outdoor school end August in Fairbanks. Transport from our hotel to and from Chena Hot Springs was punctual, comfortable and safe. It was a fairly long drive from our lodging at Pike's waterfront. The tour group size was small. Our impression of Chena hot springs resort was beautiful. We gathered at the activities... More
