We took the five day overnight mushing trip to the historic Tolovana lodge through the endless Alaskan wilderness along the old mail, trappers' and miners' trails. It was exciting, beautiful, and we had a wonderful time. The arctic tents we stayed in two nights were roomy, comfortable and warm with the stove inside. We stayed in the rustic Tolovana lodge... This was our first to trip to Alaska and my girlfriend is an off-the-chart dog lover. Mushing in Alaska has been her #1 Bucket List item for many years and Paws for Adventure more than lived up to her dream. We were met by Leslie and a few of her friendly assistants. Neither of us knew what to expect but... More

There are several places where you can schedule a dog sled ride in this area..... I strongly suggest you try this one first! We were directed here by Taste of Alaska Lodge owner/operator Kory. Sooooo very thankful!!! We were treated to a one hour ride through some of the most breath taking scenery! Kevin, the musher who took us out,... More

The three of us had a great time in mushing school. Leslie and her assistant were super nice/enthusiastic. The dogs were great too, seems like they just can't wait to take off. After a short training session, we helped hook up the dogs, and went out on our own sleds w/dog team. Leslie was always there to help if you... More

My wife and I took a one hour ride which was just right for us. The musher was very informative as he told us a lot about the dogs and dog mushing as we rode. They made sure that you're warm enough by providing supplemental clothing, as needed. Everything was first rate. Highly recommended.

My trip to Paws was great! Upon arrival, Leslie made sure I had enough warm clothing by loading me up with a parka, bib, face mask, and better-rated boots. I didn't realize how extra cold the ride would be with all the wind, but the clothes definitely did their job! Leslie herself drove my 1-hour sled ride, and I loved... More

Had a great time at Paws for Adventure. Went on the 30 minute ride and it was beyond beautiful. They lend you gear, so you have a comfortable experience and there's a yurt where you can warm up, get some cocoa and cookies before/after your ride.

My main goal in visiting Fairbanks was to see the Lights, and I did; it was magical. Just when I thought I've had enough fun, I joined Molly at Paws for a couple of hours with the dogs even without any snow. I had the chance to harness several of them to the ATV, then ride with Molly for a... More

My partner and I visited Paws in February 2013 for mushing school. This was definitely the highlight of our entire trip to the US. The tour began with a tandem sled attached behing Leslie's sled to learn what to do with out feet. When we arrived back we helped to harness up our own teams of 4 and set off... More
