We discovered Goolrick's Pharmacy thanks to a painting hanging in our hotel room. My husband did a quick search on Google and discovered that not only was it a real location, but it was only a few walking blocks from where we were staying. They were already closed for the day, so we decided to have lunch there the following... More

Had BLT's that were just awesome as well as malted milk shake. Very reasonable and fresh! It just hits the spot. It's the longest running drug store in the US !

We thoroughly enjoyed having lunch at Goolrick's, a 1950's styled diner and operating pharmacy. They serve great milk shakes and cherry coke made the way you remember them in the 50's. Enjoyed a tuna salad sandwich. It has the stools and typical soda fountain counter and the food is very reasonably priced.

Enjoyed lunch and a cherry Coke. Reminded me of my younger days at my local soda fountain. The two ladies who worked the counter were very friendly.

We came to Goolrick's for their famous flavored soda drinks and lunch. The place was very busy, but we managed to grab a table and Mary took care of us. Lunch was very simple: ham and cheese for the grown ups, peanut butter sandwich and a hot dog for kids. Everybody got potato chips and a pickle. To drink we... More

Very good food. All homemade chicken, egg, tuna salads and soups. Made to order, not premade. Best milkshakes in town with real ice cream and milk.

Great place to grab a great sandwich or great milk shake. Environment is that of 50's drug store soda bar but the limited menu of sandwiches and shakes are wonderful.

The lunch counter in Goolrick's is a meet and greet with Fredericksburgers. Great milkshakes, quick service, basic good food, breakfast or lunch, for a reasonable price. Love going here!

We had lunch here before starting our tour of historic Fredericksburg. It is an actual drugstore lunch counter, something that used to be common. We had a sandwich and a fountain drink, including a vanilla Coke made with fountain syrup. It was all delicious and no more expensive than some fast-food place out on the highway. Highly recommended.
