Lovely and charming part of the famed Emerald Necklace, this particular park makes you feel like you are elsewhere. All times of year, this is one of my favorite spots. There is a lovely view of the city.

Its a moderate size park on a hill with a pond, skating rink and playground. A special feature if the Auto Museum. The views from the top of the hill give you a great perspective of Boston. Unless you love old cars, this is probably not a must when visiting Boston with limited time, but if you are local it... More

I spend a lot of time at Larz Anderson - photographing families as well as taking my kids ice skating there in the winter. You can always find a quiet spot away from the crowds.

Larz Anderson park is a local gem. Unless you are well acquainted with the area, specifically south Brookline, it is a well hidden local gem. So get out you gps and find your way. Larz is not a big park but it's beautiful. There are hills and flats, each with their own attractions. At the top of the park are... More

An underutilized gem (except when school sports teams are practicing here). Great views from the top of the hill, very common place for winter sledding. The lagoon and gazebo are especially pretty.

I love this park. Maybe because of the dreadful winter weather every time I go there with my dog there is no one!! It is really well kept and the design is charming. It is perfect for a relaxing walk. At the back of the hill of course there is the sledging which we absolutely adored this winter. It gets... More

Nice place to wander around for a summer picnic. There's a small pond that's very picturesque, and a nice park on the other side for kids. Ample space to run around and park. You can also take dogs here but I don't know if its just restricted to certain areas.

Perhaps the only negative about Larz Anderson Park is it can sometime be hard to find a place to park. But it's a lovely place to go, with a tall hill providing a sweeping view of the area, and an excellent playground, and really nice picnic sites -- that you generally have to reserve for with Brookline Recreation. The Auto... More
