This is a theater not owned by a chain, essentially a nonprofit, yet maintains a truly classic theater environment with a great lineup of current indie/art house films as well as midnight runs and evening showings of everything from cult classics to just plain classics. They also serve beer, and you really can't go wrong with that. My favorite theater... More

First experience at CCT and I loved it! This place has a lot of character. Love the interesting flicks they play and that there are no annoying pre-movie commercials or trailers. Apparently they sell beer and wine (I didn't notice because I didn't stop at the food counter), but I like that they offer free water. The theatre itself was... More

Coolidge Corner is one of my favorite theaters to go and see a movie. I love the choice of new and old classics films and there live events. I am a member of the Coolidge Corner theater.

I love the Coolidge. Most of the theaters are pretty small but the character of the theater along with great independent films that they show are worth it. They have great midnight shows on the weekends and they serve beer and wine too.

Great location, shabby chic, fun and great flicks. Very eclectic films, shorts, etc. so there's something for everyone. Speakers often have audience spill over here from bookstore across the street. Great place.

Everything about the Coolidge is perfect. The movies, the theaters, the live events, the fact you can get beer and wine -it's all exactly what you look for in a movie theater

It's great to visit a classic Art Deco cinema that has been maintained while modified and utilized to remain a commercially sustainable business. The original auditorium is fundamentally in tact, with the balcony carved out to form the second cinema - all well done. Two more cinemas, one a 45 seater, called the Screening Room was frankly disappointing for its... More

I think the Coolidge Corner Theater goes out of its way to hire the rudest people to work there. From the people who sell the tickets to the guys who clean the theaters. For some reason they all look the same, all black clothes and eyeglasses with heavy black frames. Like they all went to the same bad film school... More

"It's only playing at Coolidge Corner Theater" - said anyone of any up and coming limited release movie. In the heart of Brookline, close to delicious restaurants, fun shops and the T, sits a pearl of movie theater experiences. It's a clash of the olden days theater, with artsy deco interior and big lighted sign exterior, and modern conveniences, like... More

Great local independent theater in the heart of Coolidge Corner. Join if you are local. They need your support and it is more than worthwhile. They show great films and there are lots of benefits for members! Something for everyone from tots to grandparents!
