The art deco interior of the theater sets the stage for the quality movies they show. The seats don't recline like a deluxe theater, but you are not bothered by servers coming and going and by co-viewers spilling beer and pretzels on the floor. The popcorn is popped fresh and there is real butter for those who enjoy pop corn... More

A great movie theater to watch the best and most up to date films. The Coolidge Corner Theater always has a selection of films where you can find something which matches your taste. The theater is clean and comfortable; you can book on line; it makes for a thoroughly enjoyable movie experience.

Hard to think of the Coolidge Corner Theatre as an attraction to appear on TripAdvisor, but actually, it is well worth a visit to step back in time and see a film. Yes, a film--not a movie! It's quite a treat to step into a movie theatre that does not offer twenty or more movies and a dazzling array various... More

If you are tired of box theaters absent of style, go to The Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline, Mass's neighborhood of the same name. The theater has been in business since 1933, and this is (minus the IMAX screens at the aquarium and Museum of Science) the largest screen around Boston. That is in the main auditorium, but the old... More

Special shows include National Theater Live from London, as well as ballets and operas, and fine foreign films.

In Brookline's Coolidge Corner we have a unique venue for films that are quirky, odd, but usually well worth the admission. There are no cookie-cutter Hollywood blockbusters here. I think there are four halls, the main one seats maybe a thousand, the one that shows the films I usually see seats about 45, and there is one really small room... More

Coolidge Corner Theater, in the heart of Brookline, is one of those rare, independent movie theaters that caters to lovers of the art of cinema. It showcases classic, foreign, independent and art films as well as first run features. The main theater is beautifully decorated in art nouveau style. Smaller theaters cater to smaller audiences.

What's better than watching new and classic movies at a price lower than regular theaters? Watching one while drinking a draft beer! Go get pizza across the street at Otto's, then enjoy supporting the local arts and a great flick.

One of the few independent movie houses left in the Boston area. I've gone there not only for indie and foreign films, but also for opera.
