Love their selection of movies which include classics, live theatre recordings from England & art movies that don't appeal to the masses. Seats are very comfortable. Street parking can be difficult

Lovely, well restored theatre. It is always a treat to watch a movie here with friends or loved ones.

An excellent, historic, non-profit theater that shows eclectic movies. When I first moved to the area, the movies were a little too esoteric for my taste, but in recent times, they seem to have made an effort to expand their repetoire to accommodate more tastes. Now it's a good mix of "artsy" movies with other classic crowd-pleasers mixed in, while... More

Love this theatre, the popcorn is the best I have ever tasted! Great selection of movies most times, great friendly service. One downside, I have seen a mouse a few times :-( Maybe this is the case for all theaters?

Beautifully restored theatre with strong programming. Love the NY FIlm Critic Series. It is nice that you can have a glass of wine, or a beer, while you watch a movie too.

The main theatre is a blast from the past. Small rooms are.. smallish! Good film selection, nice vibe in the lobby.

Many restaurants to choose from (Vietnamese, Thai, Italian, New American), plus Licks Ice Cream, local used book store, movie theater, sandwich and bagel shops, Peete and Starbucks coffee, drug stores, etc. Five stops from Fenway and seven from Copley Square.

Goldscreen viewing room is superb- like having your own private home entertainment room. Truly special. And as always, wonderful flicks.

This is my all time favorite movie theater, hands down. If you're looking for the big cinematic experience, this isn't really the place, but if you really want to watch one of your favorite movies, or a classic you've been meaning to see, in a beautiful building, on the screen, with wine, this is the place. They have such interesting... More

Be sure to get your tickets well in advance as we discovered they sell out quickly. It is a small, unpretentious theatre that obviously has a large following. The film selections were fantastic. We saw Boyhood and A Most Wanted Man. Each was excellent. Check out their website for films and schedules. There are several good places to eat nearby... More
