I was in town for a 4 day dog show and was thrilled that the park was across from the place I was staying. It was full of rabbits which made for some interesting walks (I have whippets), but it was nice to walk around and look at the Christmas lights. Lots of people were there enjoying it in the... More

Great location with old growth trees. Home to the vancouver farmers market. Venue for events such as jazz festival. Free live music and movies in the summer. There is a couple water features which is popolar with the kids to walk through and cool off. At Christmas it has the city's tree. There is a great clock tower as well.

Every Saturday, for years, there's been a Farmer's Market in the Park (well, on the streets adjoining it). One of the best we've ever seen and worth the trip, itself!

The park is in the heart of downtown Vancouver, an oasis in an area of businesses and condos. They have restroom facilities, a covered stage area, beautiful artistic water features, benches, beautiful landscaping, and tall brick clock tower. The park is used every day in all kinds of weather. The park is the location for many, many outdoor concerts, fairs,... More

Esther Short park is a typical city park, but it has a lot happening. Weekend concerts in the summers, a fountain for kids to splash in. The weekends have the farmer's market. August is the annual Wine and Jazz event. You can hear the jazz if you bring a chair and sit on the lawn outside the fence. Parking is... More

Born and raised in Vancouver, it wasn't until 2 years ago that I finally discovered this park as a result of a visit to the Vancouver Farmer's Market. During the summertime, some of my spontaneous visits have brought quite a surprise by all of the different events held at the park! It's a really fun, community-centered place to be. My... More

We stopped here on our drive from Seattle to Portland for the weekend. Easy access to/from I-5 and I-205. Good variety for a smaller farmers market. Nice balance of places to eat----loved the home made tamales!!!, crafts, fresh produce and plants. Would love to stop here again.

very nice park, nice play area. Bathrooms were clean. It can get busy at times of activities, such as art shows, and concerts.

The park is nice...would probably have a better view if i had viewed it when they had bands playing in the park and you just sit there with a nice picnic basket and enjoy the music. I have heard from others that is what you want to do when visiiting.
