This was a great museum to take the family and talk about how things were done in the past. Great examples to show the younger generation items from the past. Would recommend this for all ages

The museum is laid out well and has interesting descriptions of old Fort Smith. I didn't have enough time,as I was with a group,to read all of the information, but I hope to return.

Reasonably priced with a lot to see. Had a lot of early Fort Smith information. Had the furniture from Judge Parker's Court room. I would recommend stopping here....

We visited the history museum while we were in town for the fair. It was a very nice couple of hours spent learning about Ft Smith. It had the courtroom of hanging judge Roy Parker and a couple of pictures showing hundreds of people watching a public hanging, and then explained why so many people would show up. We thought... After the historic site visit we walked over to the museum, there is a fee to enter. Lots of artifacts, history to read about. Interesting to learn about the local area.

I enjoyed the displays of antiques--furniture, clothing, etc... There was a lot of stuff to read but it was pretty dry and I lost interest before I took it all in. I love history but just think they could have livened this up quite a bit.

As a former teacher I have taken several groups of students here on field trips, in addition to visiting with just my family. The trolley ride and historic soda fountain are neat. My students always loved the antique phones (and couldn't figure out how to work a rotary phone). The museum covers a large time frame in Fort Smith's history... More

They have an audio tour, no extra charge for the audio, you just leave your drivers license or something with them till you return the radios. We were there on a rainy Sunday, so the place wasn't that busy, pretty interesting. We enjoyed the tour. Free parking too!
