I didn't know what to expect, really. I went on the advice of some friends. The theatre, though expansive, is set up to feel very small, like a living room on stage with just one lamp. The storyteller appears without much preamble, and carries the entire thing with a unique and pervasive stage presence. It's almost confusing in a time... More

I do think Chris is a great storyteller. I just thought it was going to be a little different-maybe my fault. More like sitting around campfire telling scary tales like "bloody Mary", I preferred the Blue Orb walking tour.

The nightly ghostly tour on the trolley was excellent. Fun, Funny and exciting. I definitely feel I had a ghostly encounter on the patio of and old mansion where the mistress of the house jumped to her death......very eerie! The tour guide was superb.

I had a great time listening to Chris's tales of haunted Savannah. I loved his stories about how he has interacted with ghosts his entire life. He definitely scared me a few times, too. Be prepared to be spooked, to laugh, and to be thoughtful about how spirits impact our lives.

I had a night off with the girlfriend and we chose to go out as opposed to staying in and renting a scary movie. We made the right decision. You simply cannot sit in your own home and replicate the same level of fear that Mr. Soucy can in a dark theatre. It was extremely dark when the show began.... More

This sounded like fun when I read about it and for whatever reason had pretty much all favorable reviews on TripAdvisor. But my husband and I finally walked out and couldn't believe we wasted $50 for the two of us to go to this! We stayed quite a while thinking (hoping) that it had to get interesting or at least... The Savannah Theatre is home to a couple of musical variety shows, and the decor includes a couch that looks sort of like part of a vintage sports car. At first, it seems like an odd place for a show about ghost stories. Once I sat down in the audience, however, I wasn't thinking about the tiny jukeboxes. Performer Chris... More

If you're looking for a unique "ghost tour" in Savannah, sit down with "Soosie" at the historic Savannah Theater and listen to him recount his personal ghost stories. You may even have your own experiences (had to briefly stop the show due to clicking sounds on stage). Awesome way (and place) to spend a late evening in Savannah!

If you want creepy, crawly, ghoulish tales, don't attend this performance. What you get with "Spine Tingling Tales" is an engaging and totally mesmerizing overview of the ghost story genre. Chris' delivery is flawless: the minimum set, low lighting that fades to black, the use of pauses in his delivery, the timbre of his voice, his movement around and throughout... More
