Plan your trip around this class... pick one. I can't imagine any of his classes not being absolutely enjoyable. We did this in February 2009 and it is still the thing we talk about for this trip. We tell everyone. My husband walked in not very excited, even though he generally likes to cook... some... but he has walked out... more

The 700 Kitchen Cooking School was fabulous!! Chef Darin explained the whys of the foods we were making which made the steps make more sense. He showed us the proper way to hold a chef's knife and how to correctly slice and dice. We prepared a fall brunch that was absolutely delicious. I never thought I would be making a... more

The fact that I learned WHY to do things as I went along made this the most fun I had in Savannah. While I don't like grits (at all), and I'm not a huge biscuit fan, I walked away from this class having had a delicious meal and more fun than I can convey. My only regret is that we... more

My trip to Savannah would not have been complete until I attend the 700 Cooking Class given my Chef Darin. This class exceeded my expectations. I love to cook and thought I would just learn to fix a few new dishes, but NO!!! I learned so much more. Chef Darin taught use how to properly use a knife and dice... more

This was a lot of fun! Chef Darin makes this quite an entertaining experience as well as quite educational. The food was great, the pacing was great, and everyone (me, my girlfriend, and 8 other people) had a really good time. And the food! It was outstanding! If you like being entertained, if you like being hands-on, and if you... more

The chef chose a tasteful menu from "French Bistro" which was challenging enough for experienced home chefs yet not too difficult for beginners. The menu was one that could easily be duplicated at home without the use of exotic, hard to find ingredients. I especially appreciated the hands-on learning in all aspects of food preparation. Having taken cooking classes in... more

My girlfriend gave me this experience as a birthday present, and I would say it is one of the best birthday presents I have ever gotten. Chef Darin packed this three hour class with tips, techiques, humor, history and more. And we got to have a gourmet dinner at the end. Who ever heard of being able to go back... more

Darin was nice enough to open another Low Country Cooking course on 9/19. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the ~3 hour cooking course. We gained a good deal of knowledge and were able to correct a lot of our cooking mistakes. Finally, we were able to eat what we had cooked. Would highly recommend the course not only for... more
