The aquarium and marine education center on Skidaway Island is well worth the trip. The aquarium is very well mantained and at an admission price of $3.00 for young children and seniors over 55, and only $6.00 for the rest, it is a true value. The aquatic specimens are varied and well displayed, and the touch tank is great for... More

My kids, ages 7 and 13 months, really enjoyed this aquarium. It is small (only two rooms), but big enough to keep them entertained a while. The nature trails on this breath-taking property is what steals the show.It was an extremely cold day when we visited so we were only able to walk the short trail, but we definitely plan... More

Visited this attraction on a rainy day and had a nice time. I have two children and they enjoyed the aquarium, especially the touch tank/tidal pool. The aquarium is small but the price reflects that. It is well maintained and well thought out nonetheless. There are some beautiful easy trails around the property - we walked it in the rain... More

This is a small facility that has the outward appearance of an out-of-date and poorly funded part-time research facility. But it contains an excellent display of several fish, coral, turtle, and mollusks that inhabit Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary "one of the largest near-shore live-bottom reefs of the southeastern United States." The animals and plants are displayed in small salt... More

Karen and Lauren were both very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Our family enjoys nature and animals and we would highly recommend this to like minded families. Thank you!

We've been coming to Skidaway for years, but have never entered to see this attraction. More of a science-field trip, than entertainment, this place was intimate and interesting. But, it is the Marsh Paths around the area that are so worth the trip. You get to see the beautiful waterway and all the gorgeous moss and trees, plus a lot... More

This had such wonderful interesting items to view. The children loved it. It's a long way out. Of the way so when we asked questions at the desk the lady acted like we were bothering her. But could of been a bad day. I loved the aquariums and thought it was interesting

This review is late but marine science day is the day to visit this aquarium... they have lots of activities for the kids, behind the scenes tour, nature trails, venders set up, lots of staff to teach the kids about the animals. There should be another coming in october 2012.

While it is about a 25 minute drive from the Historic District, the UGA aquarium is worth a trip. Admission is six dollars and you get to see a wide range of aquatic life. They have everything from fish, turtles, and a octopus. You can also walk the nature trail that winds through a forest. The trail has a dock... More

Since it was a university affiliated program, I really expected more. We drove about 25 minutes from Savannah to get there. Spent $6 per adult and literally had to stretch out each of the 8 tanks to make it last for 30 minutes. When I asked the woman at the desk if there was more to see, she replied "we... More
