We did a private tour of Bonaventure and the Catholic cemetery. It was so interesting. Shannon is knowledgeable and a very interesting tour guide. He has personal experiences with a lot of the families in the cemeteries because of his years of living in Savannah. I highly recommend a private tour. He spent over 2 hours with us!

Shannon Scott was an outstanding storyteller and vividly described the interesting people and events associated with the cemetery as well as the cemetery itself.

I did this tour on 7/26 at 10am with my husband and 15 year old Nephew. Shannon was a great guide, very knowledgeable, and his stories are fascinating! The tour was not very spooky, but more historical which to me was better anyway. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat!

Although Shannon Scott wasn't our guide as we expected, our female guide was great. She was very informative and knowledgeable about the cemeteries past. I didn't mind that there were no ghost stories and understood that they are not allowed by law to tell ghost stories in the cemetery. It did come a torrential downpour when we got the furthest... I went on this tour with Shannon and I learned so much local history. He presented the information in an engaging way and offered further resources if I wanted to explore more on my own. Immediately after telling the story of Miss Gracie Watson, a beautiful large Red-tailed Hawk came to visit her. The hawk seemed much more concerned with... More

Went on tour last week of June 2014. Shannon is an excellent storyteller, with much detail about the lives of people buried in Bonaventure Cemetery. Great stories, tragic endings, family dramas, area history, gorgeous sculptures….This tour has it all! (Seriously, though, bring water…it is hot in Savannah in the summer!)

Fascinating tour, very respectful, and so interesting... Mr. Shannon Scott is a wonderful story teller. He paints the history of Bonaventure Cemetery and the life stories of those buried there in a way that sticks in your mind. The cemetery contains so many magnificent monument statues and such breathtaking nature that in itself it is an experience to see. Add... More

Put off the re-enactors or the vehicle-drivers, first listen to a master storyteller in his element. I not only learned a lot, but was intrigued by the mystery of that which we cannot explain. I have only lived here for less than a year and took my visiting brother and his family on a tour with Shannon on July 4th... More

Below is a copy of the email I sent to Mr. Scott summarizing my experience in trying to secure a tour with him that never materialized. I purchased the 'After Dark Tour' from Living Social that promised to tell you of the cemetery's 'spooky past' yet when asked Mr. Scott told me that he was not allowed to talk about... More
