A New Day For Tours...in Savannah, Hilton Head, Riceboro, and the Lowcountry of Georgia and South Carolina – “Day Clean Journeys”. We take you on journeys through time. Get a full view of the history regarding the above areas on one of our journeys (tours). We pride ourselves on providing “Tours for Everyone”! Anyone can and will enjoy our tours. Day Clean is a Gullah phrase that means “new day”, “beginning of the day”, or “dawn”. In addition, it is a philosophy of life that means each day is a new day; each day starts anew; no matter what occurred yesterday – today is a new day (“day clean”) . We provide stimulating, informative, and enlightening journeys. You may even become a little inspired after a journey.Students and Teachers, Families, Religious Groups, Youth Organizations, Conference Attendees, Senior Citizens, Friends, and Others have been enthralled by our journeys. We are sure you will be enthralled, also.We have provided tours and shared the history of the lowcountry to groups for over a decade. Not only can we provide a wonderful tour but we can arrange for living history presentations that are entertaining, engaging, and illuminating.

When you take a journey with him, you will learn, you will laugh and at moments you may be plunged into silence or tears...you will have an... More

This tour is a MUST for anyone planning a trip to Savannah GA! I took the tour with my two teen boys and we all LOVED it. They labeled the tour, "The best EVER." We learned so much and really felt like we received one of a kind information on the rich history of Savannah GA as it relates to... More

Jamal brought us on a journey into the complete history of Savannah. This was a life changing experience for my husband and I. We traveled with another couple and they were also profoundly moved. We were so moved by the history of the building of The First African Baptist Church, the captives gave their precious freedom funds to instead build... More

If you are only taking one tour of Savannah, take this one. If you are taking more than one tour (as I did) take this one last, as the other tours will give a good standard tour with peripheral information but with Jamal you will get information and a perspective missing from the other tours. Brace yourself to get the... More

My husband, best friend and I took the Day Clean Tour in October. We were not ready for the breadth & knowledge of our tour guide, Jamal. Not only did Jamal answer all of our questions, but he provided us with a list of books/dvds so we could continue our studies. The tour was outstanding. Learning about the history of... More

Jamal was an excellent tour guide. He was informative and at the same time did not mind waiting for us to take pictures or answering the many questions we had. Jamal is very knowledgeable on the Black History of Savannah and Black History in general.
