A New Day For Tours...in Savannah, Hilton Head, Riceboro, and the Lowcountry of Georgia and South Carolina – “Day Clean Journeys”. We take you on journeys through time. Get a full view of the history regarding the above areas on one of our journeys (tours). We pride ourselves on providing “Tours for Everyone”! Anyone can and will enjoy our tours. Day Clean is a Gullah phrase that means “new day”, “beginning of the day”, or “dawn”. In addition, it is a philosophy of life that means each day is a new day; each day starts anew; no matter what occurred yesterday – today is a new day (“day clean”) . We provide stimulating, informative, and enlightening journeys. You may even become a little inspired after a journey.Students and Teachers, Families, Religious Groups, Youth Organizations, Conference Attendees, Senior Citizens, Friends, and Others have been enthralled by our journeys. We are sure you will be enthralled, also.We have provided tours and shared the history of the lowcountry to groups for over a decade. Not only can we provide a wonderful tour but we can arrange for living history presentations that are entertaining, engaging, and illuminating.

We really loved this tour. It brought Savannah and the South alive. My friend knew very little about black history and felt she learned such a lot. The tour enables an overview of Savannah and a comfortable trip around the town as a side bonus addition to the black history element. The tour guide is extremely good. A professional. This... More

This was by far, THEE BEST tour I have ever been on. The guide Mr. Jamal is a true historian of Savannah. His command of the history of Savannah is unmatched. He is thorough. I learned so much on this tour. I am sure there are a lot of tours in Savannah. If, however, you are looking for a comprehensive... More

Dr. Jamal Toure' is great tour guide that's very knowledgeable and informative of local landmarks and historical sites. I really enjoyed the one-on-one touch. No crowded tour bus with the Mickey Mouse gang. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Have been on multiple African American tours but this was the best. The Gullah geechee is something that I had no idea of as a northerner. Informative, funny and must do.

Tour narrator was Dr. Jamal Toure', our historian was personable, charming, plus, an exceptional communicator. We had stops with opportunities for Q&A, pic taking, etc. Aurelia B.

My husband and I took this tour with Jamal on 4/4/2015. I am so thankful that my husband found this tour. This was our 1st time in Savannah. It was the two of us and one other guest. We had such a great time. Unfortunately, we were not able to go inside the church's sanctuary due to the carpet being... More

My husband and I took this tour with Jamal and we were so impressed. It was informative, entertaining, heartbreaking, and definitely one of the best city tours we have taken of any city we have visited. We took several other tours in Savannah during our week's stay but this part of Savannah's history was always missing. We felt that this... More

Dr Jamal Toure is a charming showman as well as a knowledgeable and passionate exponent of the importance of understanding the Gullah Geechee culture if you want to understand Savannah and its history. When you take a journey with him, you will learn, you will laugh and at moments you may be plunged into silence or tears...you will have an... More
