Great waterfront with excellent restaurants, shops, tourist attractions, and bars. Beware, the waterfront street is cobblestone. I would not recommend high heel shoes. Some of the stairs going down to the waterfront are steep, but there are elevators available in some of the hotels.

I'm from Charleston, SC so riverfront/ waterfront parks are nothing new to me, yet this was still a beautiful place to walk around for a bit. There are tons of places to grab something to drink and if you make it down there in time you'll be sure to see a beautiful sunset. We watched a large container ship pull... More

This place is so pretty! My son loved to watch the ships and boats over the river. We walked part of it since it's long and he wasn't in a stroller. The shops are so pretty and the people was amazing (except for a non child friendly person that attended us at the visitors center) The street looks son pretty... More

Worth a stroll, but shops are a bit pricey and many sell the same touristy items. A few decent restaurants, but other felt like tourist traps and weren't great. I wouldn't make it priority, but stroll through if you have time.

The riverfront is chalk full of history!...every shop or restaurant occupies space in the old cotton warehouses. The walls and the cobblestone streets have been there for over 100 years. Before you shop or eat just take in where you are. Enjoy the the scenery. I'm going back!

We arrived in Savannah late afternoon so we unpacked and headed down to Riverfront Plaza early evening. I have two children so we figured we could find a nice place to eat dinner. I was surprised by all adults that were under the influence at 7ish. We decided to move away from the Riverfront after walking a couple blocks and... More

There is a nice candy shop and some quaint shops. You can get this done in an hour but it's a nice setting and a fun place for awhile.

There are better places to go in Savannah. The Riverfront Plaza is a tourist trap with panhandlers, grifters and scammers. The history and architecture could be interesting, but the tackiness of the shops detract from it. While there, we were approached for money and for the "use" of our cell phone. If shopping is what you are seeking, we would... More

We ventured down to the riverfront district twice during our stay in Savannah. They have done a really nice job of developing the walkways and restoring the old warehouse into usable spaces. We enjoyed the view, had a drink late one afternoon on a second floor restaurant which was clearly the best part of the afternoon. The shops tend to... More

A nice view of the river and a beautiful yacht was there for everyone to dream about. Restaurants and some shops, hotels. Not so impressive after visiting the historic district. But if you are a lover of the river, give it a try.
