Yes, it is a tourist's shopping area. Therefore, it is overpriced for the most part. However, it was clean, pedestrian friendly, and had a great variety of shops. We found some shops where we couldn't even afford to window shop. But we also found a shop that sold fans and parasols that our daughter hadn't found elsewhere, and a candy... More

We did not see City Market in the day time but we sure had a great evening walking around and checking out the different bars. We felt completely safe in the area. It was busy and bustling with people all having a good time. Great place to check out if you are looking for a fun evening out!

Lots to do and see in this area. There is always a crowd and fun to be had in this area. Not to mention the beauty of the area.

We had received recommendations to stop here but what a disappointment. We walked from our hotel, which was a few blocks away, but only stayed about 5 mins. Major tourist trap with a few shops and restaurants. It was a lot smaller setup than what we were expecting. Not worth your time unless you are starving and need a bite... More

The market has some cool shops and some decent restaurants. Do not expect a farmer's market. Had the opportunity to listen to some live music at night.

If you are a tourist, a people-watcher, got nothing else to do, had a little too much green beer to drink. Wanting to chill out, see some art, grab some decent food or whatever... look no further. This couple of blocks has it all. My favorite is Vinnies Pizza and owner Paul Miller did it right setting this place up.... More

Two words: tourist trap. It's worth a five - ten minute walk through, then leave. The only time I'd really recommend you spend any amount of time there is at night.

After touring Riverwalk, we went to the City Market thinking it was an open market area (fruits, flowers, street vendors). We were surprised they had none of that but the area was interesting. Thank goodness it started raining bc we had to duck into a gallery which actually is part of a store that had many shops. As we walked,... More

Not many stores left to shop in. And what stores are there sell high end high priced items. There are a few places left to eat and drink, but that's about it.
