Great place to sit back and people watch or listen to live music! The smells of freshly cooked pralines wafting through the air...

So many things to see here. We liked City market much better than River Street. Great place to just relax and listen to the bands playing every night and getting dessert. It is super Busy though.

We went to the city market twice while we were in town. It was a headache both times! We drove around for probably 30 minutes each time just trying to find parking. There are a few parking garages but they are blocks away and about $10 to park. We didn't want to pay that for just an hour or two.... More

Pretty much the same type of offerings as River Street... restaurants, bars, candy shops, more shopping, artists, etc, but seems to have a different vibe. We spent a couple of hours in the Market area and an afternoon and evening on River Street.

There was a large selection of shops and the atmosphere was very laid back . Great place to have a drink and watch the world go by

WE enjoyed here, came several times. Maily artist, restaurants and a few shops. We had one of those frozen drinks at a bar and shame on me I forgot the name. If you like music always something going on.

Fun spot to hang out if you want to sit outside and drink, but very crowded... lots of different music, and drunk people, may not be good area for kids.

City Market is only about two or three blocks long but it is packed with restaurants and shopping. The art galleries are worth the trip. You have the opportunity to meet local artist and see and/or purchase their work. It is a great way to see the creativity that the city of Savannah inspires.

You can find food, clothes, souvenirs, art galleries, a winery and a nice park all in this area where you catch the carriage rides. We were there at least twice and there was live musicians playing. There are places you can just sit and listen or places to eat and drink if that is what you want to do.
