If you enjoy wildlife and especially birds Harris Neck is not to be missed. May and June is prime time for breeding wading birds, including Wood Storks. The refuge does not receive heavy pressure, some days you will have the place all to yourself. Highly recommended. more

Harris Neck is a wonderful place to visit if you love nature... There is a long one -way driving trail, as well as bike and walking paths. The bird watching around Woody Pond at dawn & dusk (when most of the birds come and go) is truly MAGNIFICENT.. Literally thousands of Ibis, Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Purple Gallinules, & Comorrants... more
